When I get my Wii U, I plan to mod the vWii first with smash stack. What I don't get is to istall dx2 and such, is there any difference in the steps or is it the same?
See I have a regular wii im doing this on as a test first. I already have the hbc and nintendont as I have followed the guides in the stickys. But I'm stuck on the dx2 cios part to run cfg usb loader.
Please help me understand. Ok so Wii uses it own dx2 and so does vWii. dx2 v8 and dx2v53vwii. Ok I get that. Now heres the tricky part. When I'm trying to install dx2v8 on my regular Wii, I am suppose to put it I slot249 with a base of 56, right? Then again on 250 on 57. and 251 on 58. However, it does not let me install in any those slots. So im afraid im missing something?
Ive looked online and a lot people have said to install ios236 patch first before installing dx2. Is this true?
But if so, how would that be possible on vWii? I read editing any other ios expect 249/250/251 will result in a brick. So using ios236 is just on regular wii? It is confusing for me, since I thought all I had to do was install dx2 and im good to go on usb loaders. But it obviousy doesn't work for me and wont install for some reason.
How should I go about this? I figured if I cant mod Wii, I might as well forget trying to mod vWii, which actually was another reason to get a wii u was to play wii and gc from usb too.
