I already installed an emunand with Reinand from 10.5 so do i just undo everything? I already unlinked my sysnand, so does that mean I can't install CakesFW?

Just switch out the files. Delete the files that ReiNAND was using and copy the Cakes files onto your SD, then point the boot manager at the Cakes files.
by switch out the files do you mean i should wipe my sd card and put my backup data back on it?

So do I, mario and luigi dream team edition, should work fine for yours too.
I chose cakes for GBA support once i patched agb_firm and use the free multi patcher cia for region free cia support.

oh i read the title of the thread linked and it said n3ds so i assumed it wouldn't work for o3ds
there's a few parts for n3ds, but the guide is good at telling you where to skip, it's really well written.
