So as you all know I have planned on making a book. However I have been thinking about it and one book with all that info would be huge so I have decided to turn it into a series of four parts.

Part 1 (In development) Nintendo
Part 2 Microsoft
Part 3 Sony
Part 4 Sega

Now you may be asking. Well What do I have to pay for this. The answer is nothing! It will all be one hundred percent completely free.

You maybe also be asking. Hey man this is great but why make a thread before release. You see. I need your help. This isn't so much a book for me but a Book dedicated to the history of homebrew. There is still so much I don't know. I have only gotten one person to interview so far. However, I need more!

Here are the chapters in the first issue

  1. Codename Dolphin (Gamecube)

  2. Codename Project Atlantis (Gameboy Advance)

  3. Codename Revolution (Wii)

  4. Codename Cafe (Wii U)

  5. Codename CTR (3DS)

  6. Codename NX - What nintendo could do better

I am currently working on the Gamecube chapter and only interviewed the CO-Creator of HomeBros. Now this is where I need your guys help.

What are some of the most publicly known and used Nintendo hacks?
Who created them?
What questions do you want answered?

You might also be thinking - b-but you got no proof you're working on this. Actually I do. If you want you can witness it's progress here

Eventually the official release of part 1 will be on something that I can publish to freely

Feel free to donate!

These questions should be asked to any prominent homebrewer for each platform.

Ask anybody who they thought the biggest contributors to the (insert here) homebrew scene and why? It builds additional contacts, highlights key aspects of the scene, and spreads the credit.

I'd also ask what he thought the most important events in the scene are and why? And if possible, the date.

If you could get sources and citations to be a part of this that'd also be grand. Proof is priceless.

Well known exploits:

Wii: Letterbomb by the Hackmii Team and Smashstack by @comex

3DS: Ninjhax, Ironhax, and Tubehax which is not working anymore by @smea. yellow8 made Browserhax and Menuhax.

Wii U: Userspace Browser exploit by yellow8 for 5.4.0/5.5.0/5.5.1. @Hykem 's as of now unreleased IOSU Exploit for 5.5.0 and 5.5.1. And the Kernel exploit by @Marionumber1 for 2.0.0-5.4.0.

My two questions:

1. For Hykem - Do you think Wii U Homebrew will kick off nicely even though the NX is upon us?
2. For yellow8 - Were there any other entry points planned for the 3DS/DSi that couldn't work out?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
