Hello GBATemp!

I downgraded my O3DS from 10.3 to 9.2. Entry point i used was
themehax Homemenuhax (installed with browserhax). When the process started like an idiot i left the room, to check something else in the house (I only got a glimpse of few green "installed" lines).
After i came back, the console was opened on the home menu (with informations about themes on the upper screen), and i had to accept some configurations.

I guess it rebooted like it should, and successfully downgraded (System displays 9.2) . I had to re-install themehax Homemenuhax, so i opened the browser, and after zooming to upper left corner, tapped the slider. Hax got stuck at orange screen about 2 or 3 times, error came up and the browser closed.
I thought maybe i should change the date of console like on 10.3 (to 01.01.2000 and 00:00). I did it, and it still displayed error. After another attempt i got to HBL and installed themehax Homemenuhax without problems.

So, after encountering problems with browser and omiting part of the instalation, I'm not entirely sure if it downgraded properly. Is there a way to check it?

Edit: also sorry for not putting "?" mark in the title, is there a way to add it?

Use Homemenuhax instead

Mash the A button repeatedly after the first color flash. If that doesn't work, try waiting until after the second color flash.

There is a little homebrew called "downgrade check". Before using it, obviously, keep trying to start the homebrew launcher with browserhax. Orange freeze ist absolutely normal, I usually get it to work pretty fast but a friend needed to repeat the process (to visit yellow8 automatic url, then wait for the debug screens to pass, freeze and browser crash, restart the browser and erase its cache and save, visit the url again...)
It will work... eventually.

Well I already menaged to boot Homebrew Channel and installed Homemenuhax (It wasn't themehax it seems, I mispelled the name, sorry) via browserhax

Orange freeze was temporary, browser restarted after few seconds and displayed error message. Still, after few tries and clearing data, it worked.

To sum it up:
- Installed Homemenuhax 2.6 (via browserhax on 10.3 with date changing)
- Downgraded to 9.2 (not sure if correctly as I was not looking at console all the time :/)
- o3DS restarted and showed 9.2 - no problems here
- Had to reinstall homemenuhax [here problems started] as i couldn't get to boot HBC with Browserhax (colors started to flash, yellow, grey, orange, it got stuck on orange for a moment and then browser restarted displaying an error).
- Menaged to boot into HBL (Second try, after i changed the console date to 01.01.2000) and installed homemenuhax . Powering console with L button works.
- Started the thread :)

What I'm afraid of is that i have frankenfirmware or sth right now. Because of problems with browserhax and not seeing through all of the downgrading process.
Thank You for response, I'll use "Downgrade Check" - will it place a log on SD card or something like that? Can I post it here?

It will only compare your system parts and your firmware then write a "check.log" file on the root of your SD card. This file lists every title who should not be in your console NAND based on its firmware.

Allright, I ran downgrade checker, and it says only this:

Title ID 0x0004001b00019002
Extra title
Title ID 0x0004013000004002
Extra title
Title ID 0x000400300000b902
Extra title

Of course I have no idea what this means, besides that it installed something extra...

Forgot to mention, that I'm using O3DS XL, if that makes any difference.

You would notice a "Frankenstein" firmware existence by seeing such things in the log:
My Downgrade Check said:
Title ID 0x0004009b00010402
Expected version 0x1002
Installed version 0x1402
Title ID 0x000400300000b902
Extra title
Title ID 0x0004001b00010802
Expected version 0x0000
Installed version 0x0400
Title ID 0x0004013000001b02
Expected version 0x0800
Installed version 0x0c01
Title ID 0x0004013000001a02
Expected version 0x1400
Installed version 0x1801
(like myself, but since the downgrade installation went perfectly smoothly and the CFW worked without a flaw, I never had the idea to test it with this homebrew. When i did, I did not have the courage to restart again xD )
Another person runned into the same "case" with those non-9.2 system titles: https://gbatemp.net/threads/aureinand-n3ds-o3ds-a9lh.411110/page-12#6030783 He used the same tutorial for ReiNAND as me I think on a N3DS.

Your extra titles should not prevent anything to work fine, but you can just in case erase those exact titles through FBI.

PS: I can read my 2DS downgradecheck log, I will let you know about it tomorrow.
