Is it possible to make our own nus3bank files yet? Brawl Custom music doesn't really cover what I'm after.

Yes and no. You can use the sound replacement method to make your .wav into a .idsp file and then inject it into the .nus3bank song you want. The obvious issue here is looping. How can we do it? My assumption is that it's done beforehand with a different extention file like a .brstm? Can we convert .brstm files into .idsp ones? I don't know. I'll get back to you in a few minutes.
 
You could always just throw a quick watermark on them as well.

P.S. Would it frowned upon if I posted a list of interesting things that I've found while file exploring? I don't want to get off topic or break any rules.
No it wouldn't be frowned upon, it would be smiled upon! Just don't link the files, I don't think you're allowed to link them.

Sooo grab a .wav file, loop it in Brawbox, save that .brstm and convert it into a .idsp. From there continue as you would the voice replacement method. Just tried it and it loops.

Linking the files is literally the last thing on earth that I would do! Even all my textures are uploaded as .pngs as opposed to .bch.

Okay, to start things off I may have found actual proof of normal maps. Ken's can't be used as proof because they could be left over from SF. The Inklings can't be used as proof because she also has a spec, which I believe she uses instead.

I'm not surprised at all. Mario Kart 7 uses normal maps for basically all of their tires and the Wii U version focuses on that XD
 
If we can ever find a way to give characters normal maps just image how amazing that would be!
 
OK so off topic but I have to know. Does anybody know who "SABURO" might be referencing? Theres an empty folder along with the other fighter's motion data, and I cant think of who it might be. I know Saburou more or less means Third Son, but I can't think of any Nintendo Character named Saburo

I have no idea, there's a very slim chance it could have been a placeholder for a Fire emblem character or something.
Maybe someone with files from 1.0.0. could see if it is present.
 
how do I edit the css pictures like the csp I saw people doing it like isaac and stuff
A few pages back someone posted a .tex editor, it's really great!
The files you want to edit should be in "\1.1.X\dataMerged\ui\replace\chr\chr_00".
 
Is there a command that repacks the files into .dt and .ls files? I want to play locally
 
100% incontrovertible proof of normal maps in Smash 3ds! Nano himself agreed!
As a person who only makes textures, shaders, and materials in brawl you have no idea how happy this makes me. I can't wait until we get a real editor!

When I convert a .wav to a idsp, the output file is a .bat showing 0 bytes. Is that supposed to happen or did I do something wrong?
