This is a REALLY strange issue. Try to add this file in the same folder of CHMM. (Be sure this file and the 3dsx ones have the same name)
Ok, I added the new .xml file, made sure the .3dsx file had the same name, still getting the error.

I installed HBL through cia, and I was able to launch last version of CHMM2, after running the DSP firmware dumper.
But I am not seeing anywhere dspfirm.cdc on my SD card. Where is it please ?

I installed the .cia version (hotfix version) of CHMM2 in gateway emunand 10.5 and I installed a custom theme, however it is not showing up. Any ideas on what's going on?

you need to use dsp_dumper first if you're using the .cia version

When you open CHMM2, does it say MenuHax Mode: ON on top screen?

First I open CHMM2 and it says Press POWER to initialize CHMM. nothing on the top screen. then i press power, and it does not say anything like that on the top screen either.

So it doesn't even leave the initialize screen? You said you installed a theme earlier so I was under the impression that you at least reached the actual theme select screen. If you're not even reaching it, then do as the above post. The power button needs to be held for like half a second, just like anywhere on the 3DS system, if you just tap it, it won't turn trigger it.

No I meant it doesn't say that stuff about menuhax mode: on. It always gets past the initialization screen, it just won't install anything in the gateway emunand. I'm thinking this is just a gateway problem.

Your connection is broken so cause CHMM2 should be able to initialize sockets without any problem. Start it with WiFi off.

Turned it off. Still getting the error.

EDIT: When I boot any homebrew I have, it turns off the WiFi. Should it be turning off like that or is there something else going on here?

@Rinnegatamante I don't want to sound harsh, but you should rethink your download mirrors (ie, how you set them up). Ad.fly in itself is already a pretty shitty service, but even Ad.fly forwards to an ad link here. I myself haven't been able to download CHMM2 in my browser (had to use JDownloader in the end...). It is okay hoping to get some return for your work or asking for donations, but all in all, this is a bit too much.. Add to that (and again, this is meant as constructive criticism) that it is not exactly easy to find what one is looking for on your website. You could use the release function of GitHub as an alternative.

EDIT: Oh well, and now I updated to v2.5 and it wants that stupid dspfirm.cdc file. I know why you're doing this, and sound previews are in fact nice, but not at all required for a software such as this. This should be optional. To be honest, I'd rather downgrade CHMM than going through the troubles of obtaining this file.

I'm not going to edit my website and, as you release your things as you want, in the same way i release my things as i want.

Works fine for me in Gateway mode

Are you using that dsp_dumper to get it to work? i'm not using that because chmm2 is loading for me, then i press install theme, and it says install and i get no error or anything, but when i exit out to home menu the custom theme is not there. would i be better off using the home menu ext data tool homebrew to install the custom theme?

edit: i've used both the .3dsx version and the .cia version, both within emunand and nothing.
