There are 2 types of cheat plugins. Those with menus and those without. The ones with menus, I believe, show up as an option on the X+Y menu. Those without menus use button combinations to activate the cheats. The site where you got the plugins should have those instructions (they might be in chinese...but they're there... )

I used these .cia files and I managed to get NTR to boot on 10.5 emuNAND when I pressed X+Y, which is supposed to bring up the NTR menu, right?

Now, I want to configure using cheat plugins, excuse me for the n00b question, but, is there a particular button combo for cheat plugins?

I have to set up the plugins folder, and, the game I want to use cheats for, so, I will get to that.

Dude. Thanks a ton. I practically need BootNTR for Smoother o3DS games on n3DS.

Plus out of region DLC I can only get to work with NTR. So. Yeah. Thanks again. =D

So according to the notes, cfw 3.3 will not work on 10.4 and 10.5?

Just install the BootNTR CIA on whatever CFW you prefer, put ntr.bin on the root of your SD card, and have at it. CN isn't required.

Chiming in here.

Latest ReiNand, 10.5 Emunand, 9.2 Sysnand, NTR 3.2, n3DSXL US.

NTR does not work for me, through .cia at all. Just says Firmware not Supported.

Genuinely curious why it works for some and not others.

reinand and CakeFW uses NATIVE_FIRM of 10.4 where RxTools uses a NATIVE_FIRM OF 10.2

That isn't correct, only Aurora's mod uses 10.4 FIRM. If Mitsie is using the official build, it might've just failed, as NTR's boot rate isn't the best.

NTR stopped working for me suddenly on O3DS with 10.3 RXemunand. What do? NTR successfully boots and does its thing but has no effect on muh games.

I am on Old3DSXL RxTools EmuNand 10.4.0-29U (SysNand 9.2) and it keeps telling me "Unsupported firmware" I thought NTR supported RxTool EmuNand?

I'm happy to report that I just updated my n3DS on ReiNand to 10.5 and NTR loaded just fine and cheat.plg activated correctly when I loaded Fire Emblem.

Guys, we're getting too much misinformation about where NTR is working and where it is not. I suggest that anyone posting about NTR should use the following template to make it very clear what is happening:
