Hallo,
i have a problem with booting up my supercard dstwo on the 3ds, i followed a setup tutorial via youtube, here's the link: , but i cant boot it up and get the following message:
An error has occured. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off.
Please refer to the Operations manual for details.

I also recognized that the guy has a .dat file wit the name ds2boot.dat but it wasn't included when i downloaded the eos or firmware and i couldn't find it online.

Now do i have to start up my supercard DSTWO from a ds or ds light and after that restart it on the 3ds Xl or ist there an other problem with the ds2boot.dat file or etc...

So can anyone of you guys help me pls, every help is appreciated

Does it show an icon when you insert it? If not, you may need to update the firmware and you'll need a DS/DSi for that (and a DSi with a later firmware might not work either) or make sure your mSD card is formatted correctly. Really though, you may want to look through the supercard forums: http://forum.supercard.sc/

Edit: I also have a ds2boot.dat. Fat32 format, by the way.

Edit2: "EOS V1.14 don't need ds2boot.dat." I haven't updated my dstwo in quite a long time. Several years, in fact...

Edit3: I just updated mine to the latest. Do you have a dstwoupdate.dat in the root of your card? You might not have a firmware on your card at all. I'm not sure if the firmware update supposed to work on a 3DS without a pre-existing firmware, but I just placed the latest EOS (copied over the _dstwo folder) and dstwoupdate.dat (v1.25) and placed it in my N3DS with the power off. Powered on and when the icon showed up, I just opened it and it asked me if I wanted to update. Works like a champ.

I'm supposing that you have the common SuperCard DSTwo, not the DSTwo+ edition.
1st - Go to supercard site, old products, download link for Super Card DS Two, download the package at the "here" on "firmware v1.25 support DSi 1.45 and 3DS 8.1.0-19x Download from here" (I dunno if I can do a direct link to their page due to the nature of the bootloader update).
2nd - Try following the steps on this post:
Update DSTWO on 3DS XL 4.5.0-10E?
Essentially you'll try to update the bootloader with a alternative way that doesn't require a old DS model or an DSi/3DS with a older firmware.

Well then, If you see the Icon, your card is fat32 (not exfat), and it refuses to load, you possibly have to install flashcardtimewarp. But I was thingking that if you needed it, you wouldn't get an icon at all...

And... Why did you quote me like 3 times?
