it depends on the amount of free plays you take with cheats if you take too many you will definitely get banned
No one has called Nintendo yet and no one has been unbanned so nothing is known.
Someone did call and they confirmed it was a ban. They should be getting more info about the ban soon.

I just called Nintendo of Europe as I'm also banned on my o3DS (EUR) with sysNAND 9.2 emuNAND 10.3. I have to admit that I used the unlock code very excessively, but I'm not really angry as I knew a ban would come sooner or later.
I told them that I had a question regarding Nintendo Badge Arcade as I am receiving this error code since today. They asked me a number of questions to verify my identity, and then the man I was talking to had to have a short consultation with a colleague. After that he told me that it was in fact a ban and that my NNID was blocked for this game. I was asked if I could imagine a reason for this and if I purposely violated their terms of service, but I responded that I would use my 3DS with my siblings and that I really could not explain whyI was then offered some more details that I will receive via email shortly (hopefully today). Unfortunately I forgot to ask how long this ban lasts!
Sorry I've only been following this thread. I'm surprised they're banning folks when other free-to-start games, eg: Pokemon Shuffle, Picross and Rumble World have rampant cheating for the various in-game currencies and they do nothing for that.

Had to push harder and now I'm waiting for a call from there specialized experts or something, so hopefully they can give me an explanation and I will be able to ask more advanced questions (duration, reasoning). First guy I got connected to was actually fun to talk to so that made it an enjoyable experience (he kept pointing out how his computer was crap and was giving him error codes ). Then I got connected to the supervisor who was this woman who sounded bored out of her mind (can't blame her). She checked with someone n a office or something and then came back asking me what game I was playing when I got the error. I was like "wat? Badge arcade?" . She kept asking what I was doing before I got the error code, I'm just like "catching badges...? hahah". Then she told me she couldn't do anything and that I will get a call from the people that look into these problems specifically this week. So that's all I can say guys, will report more when I can.
Me too, they telled me to sent an email to [email protected] cause they're just the call centerI just go back from a disappointing call with Nintendo "technical support". They were not able to address the error code at all. They tried pulling the bullshit maintenance excuse. "Street pass is in maintenance"
Guys I'm back with another update. I've just received the email with more details and I'm afraid I have very bad news for everyone who's banned like me. The ban is permanent! Here's a short translation of the original german email:
Dear Mr ---,
thanks for your patience while we investigated your case.
It was detected that you cheated in Nintendo Badge Arcade. As a result, we have permanently blocked your access to this game. We cannot give you any specific details regarding this process.
We are sorry for not being able to give you a more positive information. We hope you continue to enjoy our products nevertheless.

Well, I really didn't think they would go this far. To be honest, I am a little bit disappointed as it was a really cool little game and I really love claw games! But it was also really addictive so I'm quite happy that I cannot play it anymore, too
Still not banned myself thankfully. Cheating is fully at your own risk.
