Well why in the world would you want to have your console update itself? Stay on whatever firm you are and pray for the exploits.
:l I'm asking if I should switch to tubeHax. Maybe OpenDNS has a flaw if most people are using tubehax

Oh, yeah. Well don't know. I have tubehax set up and also ninty servers blocked in my router until the exploit comes:l I'm asking if I should switch to tubeHax. Maybe OpenDNS has a flaw if most people are using tubehax
Am I the only one who's starting to doubt now? I haven't touched my WiiU for a long time (I checked yesterday and I'm still on firmware 3.0.0E ). Now I'm following the recent activities and I have two options. Buy a game with firmware 5.3.2 on the disk, wait for Hykem to release his exploit and then update to 5.5.1? But what if Nintendo brings out 5.5.2 which patches yellows8's exploit before the release of Hykem's exploit? Another option is update to 5.5.1 now and wait (maybe even five weeks ).
I was glad that Hykem was taking his time to do a proper release but now with this information the time starts to tick since yellows8 exploit is publically avaiable, so also patchable by Nintendo. I hope Hykem realises this and releases his exploit soon.
I too have a console with 3.0 on it, I have a splatoon disc on the way which will update to 5.3.2, but I am not sure if I should use it or stick with 3.0...
TubeHax blocks Nintendo update and so does OpenDNS and I wanted to know if I should keep using OpenDNS
I'd sit on it and wait.
For online play ? (Nice profile pic. btw)Why do you guys need to be online anyway?
Just set up a private server in your network, even a phone can do it, and deny internet access to your console (or fake DNS)...
Or, you know, just use the TubeHax DNS server so you can still play with friends, use Netflix, use the E-Shop, etc...Why do you guys need to be online anyway?

Since when does tubehax allow access to the e-shop? AFAIK it doesn't.Or, you know, just use the TubeHax DNS server so you can still play with friends, use Netflix, use the E-Shop, etc...
AFAIK it does. You just need to use NNU to temporarily get around the console version check. I'm on 5.4, spoofed to 5.5.1, with TubeHax DNS, and I've downloaded several titles from the E-Shop. Even redownloaded the E-Shop version of Splatoon my console came with.Since when does tubehax allow access to the e-shop? AFAIK it doesn't.
I havent been following the wii u exploit but seems like its starting to get better. Just found out WiiU is on 5.5.1
Is there a tutorial on these dns blocks to prevent future updated?

Yeah no, I NEVER enable automatic downloads on my consoles and mine updated from 5.4 to 5.5 on me.I do not understand why people can accidently let there wii u update . there a option in setings to check if you want updates to download while in standbye ...just uncheck the box...job done no need to use someones server ..or even better dont use it at all online that smea guy is so far stuck up his own ass the methan keeps his head in the clouds
