Is it ok to update to 10.4 on 3.0? I get stuck on the splashscreen on 3.1.

I updated all the files. but not worked for me.

10.4 broke my 100% boot rate. Now it takes 2 or more times to actually boot. Maybe I need to switch to BootCTR instead of CBM.

Update to 10.2 they said.. ;-;

I'm not sure how these offset changes would cause that for only some people, so thats weird.

So updated to 10.4 and works well on Reinand, but even if I press Y on HBL (the cia) it still brings me back to CTR and crash (pyaload doesn'T download)

I fixed it. You need to download the firmware.bin or use it from your old reinand.

they decrypt the cdn file, mine is predecrypted, mostly. I just didnt want to bloat my code with a bunch of decryption stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I forgot that Rei snuck in a commit since 3.1 released. It might help if that commit was included.

It started booting 1st try after rebooting a few times. No more getting stuck the 1st time.

No idea, but all I know is that when I had problems with it the other day, I nuked the rei folder, reinand.dat, and the 3dsx files, recompiled everything, got the newest firmware.bin, and put them all back and it made my emuNAND work again. I think most of the problems come from someone forgetting to replace one or two files (it happens to us all, yeah?).

Or go future proof and skip it, go straight to the 10.7 one

Well, I think we should be happy with the 10.2 FIRM for now, it was causing a few incompatibility issues by not having it. I doubt the 10.4 FIRM adds anything interesting.

I get the whole compatibility thing but are we talking just games? Like retail carts? All my cia's seem to run fine on 3.0. Homebrew wise that is to clarify

There were a couple eShop games and demos that weren't working with the 9.6 FIRM/kernel IIRC. Homebrew shouldn't be affected by it at all.

Ah gotcha. Honestly eShop never interested me. I tried it a few times but I'm really a physical in my hands kind of person when it comes to games. What if the Internet explodes!! J/k

I mostly use the eShop for demos and updates, that's about it, but that's just me.

Indeed. Some game updates started requiring 9.6+ to run properly, meaning we had to manually edit CIAs, which was ugly. When you can just grab it from the eShop, it's so much easier.
