Ok, so I got 10.2 firmlaunch working, and as a bonus fixed a real nasty bug which makes me wonder how emunand even booted at all lol.

So, could this patch improve bootrate? Fixing that nasty bug and all.

I think so. It doesn't always appear for me. By rapidly flash do you mean it flickers, or just stays on the screen for under one second? If it's the latter, that's normal, ReiNand just boots quickly.

I mean more of a flicker. But again, it's not a problem at all. Glad it boots so quickly AND frequently.

if your boot issue is after splash, then probably yes.. otherwise no.
My bootrate problem is CBM and menuhax lol.

It'd be nice if those could be vastly improved at some point to be more stable..but that's a bit off-topic.

What sort of nasty bug was it? Just curious.

Was it a problem after the firm was decrypted & patched? If so, I hadn't done wrong!
EDIT: use BootCtr, and set a delay of 150. This works really well for me (and 150 is the same delay Decrypt9 uses)

I hate to be the one who asks this, but when will you release the fix? 10.2 firmlaunch was my only reason for using CakesFW.

He updated the firmware.bin on Github/pastebin. Just get it there.

i always update the dropbox link if needed.. and oddly enough it lets me keep the same share link so even if readme isnt updated, file should be

They both use FIRM 10.2, but Reinand uses a decrypted version while Cakes is able to decrypt it from a NUS download (i.e. you use 3DNUS/a PC web browser to get the files, then stick them in the Cakes folder). Reinand simply doesn't have the code to do that (not that it couldn't be added, but there's not a lot of reason when Rei provides it for us).

they decrypt the cdn file, mine is predecrypted, mostly. I just didnt want to bloat my code with a bunch of decryption stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
