i think you still need the dsp dump even if you are using hax 2.5

i think that this is bullshit , i am using hax 2.5 and CHMM2 still does not work for me

i still get sound module error code

i am using rxtools on N3ds xl US with 9.5 rx-e emunand
install the cia of CHMM2 it don't work at all have to go to HBL in emunand, launch menuhax installer, delete menuhax (on emunand)
then CHMM will initialize after pressing power but always throws back sound module error

CHMM2 2.5 should never have been released or not for CIA or with a disclaimer or something
it not even worth all the aggravation and if you do eventually get it "working" the sound will not even loop , so it is really not worth it at all
it should have been labeled alpha or something, people should just stick to the 1st version of CHMM and wait till the next version ,unless they want to be beta testers, this one is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaay too much trouble much more trouble than it is worth , too much aggravation for something as trivial as custom themes, i was happy just using the 1st version or even extdata tool
this thing is a nightmare
Congradulations on a full on necro of a question of mine. Kudos for dragging me into your whine fest!

Now where's the cheese?

here is a better question then , do we even need to go through the trouble of trying to figure this shit out, do we really NEED to dump the file ourselves? is it console specific or can we just download it from someplace and save ourselves all the trouble and just place it int he 3ds folder
is not not linked here for copyright reasons
or does have to be dumped with the console you are going use it on?

No idea. Just know it's a nessecary evil that is required for some things.

It's easier to just have this file dumped on your system than to include it in each and every release of each and every homebrew. SD card space is a very valuable resource and it is easier to link multiple programs to just one "add-on" than it is to include it in everything.

Don't like it? Don't use it.
Too much trouble to use? Don't use it.

Sorry to say, but it's better if you actually are nice about things than to come in swinging and being an ass about it.

Leave it right where it dumped it. It stays in the 3DS folder.
I know this question is a a little different but the wii version of retroarch uses dsp audio also, you couldn't use the same dsp file dumped from the 3ds to use on a wii could you and if so where would you put it?

No idea. I personally don't use retroarch in the Wii.

Download links do not work, it keeps telling me I'm using a direct link to bypass adf.ly or something. On Firefox this would be expected as I have uBlock Origin and NoScript installed, but it also happens on Konqueror and Chromium with no addons.

I cant use this because when i try to get into the homebrew launcher it gives me 'an exception ocurred'
Processor: ARM11
Exception type: prefetch aabort
Current process: dlplay.

Using hblauncher loader with a9lh.

Use what I have attached. It's a new cia version that does the same thing but a little differently.
