I think most of the smart/patient people stayed on 5.3 while most of the idiots,children and third worlders are here in this thread because they updated

Well I also updated to 5.5.1 but I didnt know the Wii U auto updates in standby so yeah, bit dumb of me. But I don't have my Wii U for that long so I really couldnt know.

We all know (especially some of us older ones) that release dates are a rough estimate. It used to be games and other software had to be very polished before release as they were distributed via rom or other means that were not easy to update. This practice has since became very sloppy, because of day one patches and so on. They give dates and rush unfinished products out, listen to all the complaining from people saying they should have waited until they had a better product, etc.. - it is a catch 22. I worked almost 20 years in satellite industry (engineer) and from experience we all know it is better to wait. Patience to me is if we are reading this 3 months from now and then no update, then we practiced patience.

I am sure you understand this, I'm mainly writing for everyone else to read it all but I do agree that too many spoiled kitties are making this no fun.The sad part to me is their generation has grown up with this, there are no escuses to me in why kids these days haven't been able to create their own expoits etc. Just shows a lot about themself, if they (the few) are big enough to complain like a baby, learn the low level goodies needed to reverse a little and figure this out on your own instead of going to mommy and crying when something free like this isn't released for you. Again, this wasn't directed towards anyone in general including the person I am replying through.

I updated because i had no idea how the scene had progressed. I only knew about cafiine thru mr.bean500. And even then i supposed it vwas simply run by some code handler. To be honest he Never warned the modding community about the dangers of updating. Not completely his fault tho.

Bean never really cared much. He and Chadderz kept their exploit private when they were one of the first to the party, so I was mad at them before.

However, they made and improved TCPGecko and Cafiine, solely because they saw the scene's progress at the time.

They never directly implied you should go and help in their videos (Bean actually hates Mario Kart 8), they just did it to help out. They didn't have to warn people about updates because I presume they'd thought people would know better.

In the end, it's a kind of see-saw for me. One side carries the private exploit they had developed and kept occult. the other carries their contributions which they actually released for use with the new exploits.

Sadly, there are way more on the former than the latter. Not saying they're wrong for doing it, but to openly say "hey I did it! But none of you will get it because reasons! (Mainly piracy)" in a forum where more than half are waiting to get their hands on said achievement.... It's kind of a d-move. At least some of them help other members come up with their own code and so on.
