The GW also PROPERLY patches out game kernel checks. NOTHING else does this (*mostly* unrelated to firmware version spoofing). Their region-free is also proper in that out of region DLC works out of the box. The only other thing that can do it is NTR, when combined with a language plugin, that must be configured-per-game.

But really, the in-game cheat engine is the MF-bomb! If you're OCD and just need to get all of the badges in badge arcade, you will easily make up for the price of a GW the very first time you use cheats to give yourself unlimited free plays to complete every catcher available on that particular day.

One thing bothers me more than anything about using Gateway overall: Does it use up extra battery power from your 3DS as long as it's plugged in, or is it only when you're in-game with a rom?

From my experience it's only when playing a game since I leave it plugged in all the time and have never noticed battery drainage when playing isaac.

i think rxtools now has region free? but it took ages before it was properly implemented, if it is

If GW somehow can't get ntrcardhax/arm9loaderhax to work, at the very least they'll give you a safe downgrade. Keep it for a while unless all your systems are on 9.2, then maybe sell it.
