I use RxTools, but Gateway is such a great tool to have when setting up cfw. Just like how people said to sell Cubic Ninja, it's better to hold onto it in case you ever need it for something in the future.

Unless you are seriously hurting for money, then there is no reason to sell it. Nice to have both options of gateway 3ds and cfw.

Well, they might be the 1st to crack the n3ds key thingy I think, since they said they will soon have support for up to version 10.3.
Plus it's quite annoying using cia's mostly on the n3ds, since you also gotta unscrew the bottom cover each time (transferring via the ftp thingy is so fucking slow), and then you gotta install them which takes also a while. On the other hand, you need a private header for online 3ds roms, so you need to inject that, and if the manufacturer byte doesn't match then you gotta edit it again... The new cheat finding system is pretty awesome though, don't think NTR has that yet.
I think these are the only advantages. Oh and the constant support from the Gateway team.

Just keep it and use both Gateway will have continuous support and innovate constantly.
"Innovate"

Uhhh that's stretching it a bit I would think. Gateway always piggybacks off work done by other modders in the 3ds scene. Though they did add real time cheats which was nice.

It's the other way around guy, you clearly did not own a O3DS on 4.5 back in the day.

If you want to try out ROM hacks while having the originals installed as cias, definitely keep your Gateway.
Also, you never know when Gateway will release a new feature, like cheats.

What? Aside from their initial 4.5 work everything else they have was taken from other people in the community.

what? Copying entry points to load there GW menu? What other card system provided a cheat system? What other card system provided a multi-rom selection? Who started the downgrade process? Who added an easier feature to backup your sysnand and create emunands?

People may talk crap about gateway now a days thanks to custom firmware being free but it is still great in it's own right and the gateway team have done tons for the community just like tony_2018 and Xenon Hacks were saying.
