Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

Im getting the sysupdater to load. BUt im not seeing the numbers like in youtube. There are only options to update, downgrade and exit. I dont want to press the downgrade button cause Im not seeing those numbers. Please advise

You don't need any numbers to downgrade...

Could you advise me on the issue with my black screen a few posts back?

EDIT: I would like to add that sysUpdater loaded the first time, but gave me the failed to get cia error. After that I tried FTBrony, and ever since, it hasn't loaded it once.

N3DS XL on 10.3, tried through menu and browser.

Just keep trying to launch it. It will work eventually. Sadly, this is what happens when you're using a N3DS. SysUpdater is unstable. A lot of people get this problem.

Yup that's it. Just got back into the menu again, but getting the cia file info error again.

Finally got it to start installing the cia's. Praying for the best now.

EDIT: Think I'm stuck on the rebooting in 10 seconds now. Am I safe to reboot if this doesn't work?

Wait for 10 minutes before rebooting just to be safe. This happened to someone else, can't remember the outcome. I'm going to find out.

What do you mean by freezes? The screen is black when you turn it on?

If so, remove the SD card, turn on 2DS, change your theme and it will work.

You can install RxTools (free) or get a Gateway (not free), they're both the same.
You use the FBI CIA installer (homebrew app) to install bigbluemenu and you use bigbluemenu to install .cias. If you're in Pasta mode (homebrew app) you can install unsigned .cias and play .cia games that you don't own.

EDIT: You need to be in pasta mode to run any .cias you install, not just games.

It does, was able to confirm that I am downgraded to 9.2
