N3DS on Ver. 10.1.0-27U should I update to 10.3 or just downgrade from 10.1? I have homemenuhax setup (w/ custom theme) and ironhax.

EDIT : Also are you forced to format SD? All my games were acquired through the eShop and I would like to keep my saves (mainly 700hrs on MH4U).

I believe people said that no, you keep all of your stuff when you downgrade. Making a backup of your stuff cant hurt though...

Yeah, I just downgraded to 9.2U from 10.3U on my n3DS. It just takes a LOT of tries.

N3DS 10.2.0-28U here, got sysUpdater to work second try (got stuck on #7 first shot), extremely lucky on my part. Downgrade successful. No format needed.

If I'm on a EU 9.9.0-26E N3ds (non XL), what is the best/safest way to downgrade? Also, how can I check which version of Menuhax I'm running? Should I update to 10.3 and then downgrade to 9.2, or just downgrade from 9.9.0-26 to 9.2? Just trying to eliminate as many variables to avoid screwing up.

Success on N3DS from 10.3U -> 9.2U.

N3DS AC:HHD model on firmware 10.3.0-28U, after formatting both the device and the SD card, a couple of black screens and a few "failed to get CIA file info!" errors, sysUpdater successfully downgraded my N3DS to 9.2.0-20U.

..I think it did, anyway. It froze at the "Rebooting in 10 seconds" part and left it for a couple of minutes before hard resetting.
