I am literally always able to run the installer on my Old 3DS XL first try no matter what I do but on my New 3DS it never works, no matter what I do. And when I once in like a trillion tries get to "Done" it simply freezes...

I'm in the same metaphorical boat :/

Tried for 1 hour and half, and only managed to get to the file browser once, and I apparently had a 'faulty'/'unlegit' CIA... Do I have permission to cry?

Yes of course, it took me 8 hours to find a legit cia

So I just got it to the browser again, but it says install failed... Not sure why, I tried a new CIA...

So, from what I've read if it stays on the cleaning up screen when booting FBI on menuhax then you just restart and try again?

Yeah unfortunately, that is the way of this life... To spend infinite hours into 1 game...

You don't have enough space in your SD card? You need double the space to install the CIA.

You can try going in Menuhax, play ftBrony and exit with B. Go to FBI and spam that A button. (If done correctly, you should be able to choose the CIA and it will install.)

Me not, but the long downloading processes at school and the random reboots on my phone is another story.

Yeah, I have 3 gigs free, for a 300 mb game (New Super Mario Bros. 2), but thanks for trying to help... xD

Thought I'd give it a couple more goes - it worked! What I did, and not sure if this has any impact, is when it was loading (on the blue screen or thereabouts) I ejected the game that was in. I did this a couple of times each time I got different results than I usually did - could be chance, could be that doing this alters the timing slightly?
