n3ds 10.3U

Successfully downgraded to 9.2U following this guide.
Setting up emunand now! Thanks :D

Okay, n3DSXL/MenuHax/10.3/9.2 complete update pack. Getting black screen after successful update and reboot. Can't go into recovery mode either unless the combination is different.
Remove SD card, MenuHax 10.3 is interfering with the 9.2 firmware. Just remove the SD card, and you should be fine.

10.3 U, N3DS

Took me about 2 hours to get pass step 1-8, and the red letters.
Currently installing CIA. Well just finished the Updates Installed, and says Rebooting in 10 seconds.

After it says "Updates installed. Rebooting in 10 Seconds" It fine to force shut down right after 5 minutes?
And Success!!!
Took about 30 seconds at the black screen following that.

ive tried at least 50 times o3ds 10.1 with all diffrent types of entry points sometimes it gets to press y to downgrade screen sometimes it doesnt.

Wow, I finally got it to work after a few more tries. Oh god, heart attack mode as it downgrades!

Lol. Wait, it took a while for me. To be honest, every step had me questioning if it froze.
It's still "Getting CIA file informations". It's been on this 1 step for just about as long as it took for you to complete the whole process. :/

To anyone getting "Invalid CIA files" error and placed the cia files on the SD card with a Mac.

My Mac decided it would be a good idea to place metadata files of the cia files in the updates directory.. The only problem with this is that they end in .cia. After I removed these everything worked fine!

How to check for them and remove them:
Open Terminal and cd into your 'updates' directory.
In the 'updates' directory run:
Code:
ls ._*
If this returns anything like:
Code:
._0004003000008B02.cia ._0004009B00012302.cia ._0004013000001E02.cia ._0004013000002E02.cia

._0004003000008F02.cia ._0004009B00013302.cia ._0004013000001E03.cia ._0004013000002E03.cia
you have the metadata files in your directory!

Lets kill those annoying little shits.
in the 'updates' directory run:
Code:
rm -f ._*
Now eject your SD card and you should be good to go.

After doing this my downgrade completed and I'm now running 9.2.0-20U on a previously 10.3U o3DS.

I think I installed 9.2 o3ds files on an n3ds system as they weren't labeled as either.. anything to help for this?

Then I couldn't say really. I'd ensure the correct package and placement on the sd. The idea of forcing a shutdown at that point worries me as well
