yes, you can use NTR plug ins to cheat, but keep in mind , if no one find a new address using GW , NTR can't do a thing , because only GW at this time can search for address while online.

Yes , the save file is linked to your NNID , not on your device. so your really should afraid.

Tips to lower your chances to get banned ( not guaranteed ):
1- DO NOT USE THE UNLOCK CODE.
2- Make sure to set the sharing option to NO ( but i doubt that will do a thing , some are banned )
3- play the practice mode and get to high number like 50 , so you will get 5 or more real play.
4- find the real address and change it , however don't go overboard with it, just change it to 50 or less.
5- try to not change it all the time in real play.
6- try to not get everything from the first day , get the badges that you are interest in or the badges in the last day.
7- you don't have to play the badge arcade every day , some times it's better to play every 3 days.
all those tips will not guarantee you to not get banned , but still.

3- now go to "new 8bit exact search"
4- enter number 5 which is the same number of you remaining tries.
5- now it's gonna freeze for a moment to dump the RAM, don't freak out.
6- now exit the cheat menu and use one try , now you left with 4 tries , open the cheat menu again and hit "Next Search"
7- now chose "Exact Value"
8- now put number 4 and press A to start search.
9- you will notice the freeze time is decreased , because you are narrowing the search area, now repeat for number 3 again.
10- now with 2 ( if necessary , sometimes you only need to search 3 times )
11- now you notice there is new message down there after finishing 3 or 2 "You can view the hit list!"
below "Nest Search there are "View Hits" , click on it.
12- now you will find 2 address , change the first one or change the two.
put any number here in the RED 2 numbe.
after that , exit the cheat menu and it will look like this
13- nothing happened ? now try to use the crane again last time and...
congratulation , now your are professorial hacker !
