Hykem's IOSU exploit should work for 2.0.0 to 5.5.0, so yes, by the end of January at the latest.

I know that staying on the lowest firmware is always preferred but in this case would it be reasonable for me to update my 5.4 to 5.5? It seems like there would be no substantial difference and I'm really yearning to play the DLC my mario kart came with. I'm in limbo since I cant spoof to 5.5 and I can't play online or open dlc or link to nintendo. Thanks for what you do fiveighteen.

I would say it is still better to stay on 5.4.0 until we know for sure. The exploits are different between 5.4.0 and 5.5.0. Hykem has given a guarantee for 4 weeks or less until the IOSU is out (though in all fairness it may be another day/week/etc until the current apps work with it). I know the temptation is great, but I wouldn't throw it away for some DLC. No problem.

The more digits the better, but you never want to give your entire serial number away. I recommended 5 digits, but if you only want to do 4 or 3, I won't complain. Thanks!

2. what are the name or tags difference between eshop version games, and full dumped from disc games? I suppose file size will differ, but are there some name and or tags descriptions in the names?(dumped downloadable games from the internet)
3. available dumped games come in what format? .wuds or .isos
which are best sizewise?

1) You can download it, but can't decrypt them to actually run and use the files (or something like that).

2) I'm really not sure.

3) Scene dumps are 23.3GB WUD files. The files can be extracted from them and then used without that "WUD container" to save enormous amounts of space.

Actually you can, but only a certain number of games have had their NUS Keys made public.
If it has a scene release, then I'm pretty sure the NUS Key is available.

Hi so i am trying to use the loadiine xml dumper on my 5.3.2 Wii U and i load the kernal exploit start the loadiine server as admin then run loadiine xml dumper but my problem is that when i choose a game the loadiine server says trying to mount sd card failed can not mount sd card. I have tried 4 different sd cards all formated to fat32 32kb two of the cards were 2GB one was 8gb sdhc and another 32GB sdhc the 32GB works perfect with loadiine and other homebrew so does the 8GB any ideas?

Just bought a 2nd hand wiiu, and its on 2.1.0e, I assume it's wise to keep it at that, because of more attack venues and potential easier to hack amirite?
Other question is, can I use it's gamepad on another wiiu thats 5.5e (it'll likely update the pads firmware too) and it still working on the old one in the future?

I wouldn't do that because 2.1.0 doesn't have the Quick Start menu that 5.5.0 has.
