Homebrew Browserhax is STILL WORKING

I'm confused with all the latest stuff going on. There are so many combinations of O3DS/N3DS and firmwares where some stuff works on some combinations and breaks on others.

I have an O3DS XL on 9.2 sysnand. I have Cubic Ninja. I have the homebrew starter kit. Can someone please help me with step by step instructions on how to spoof eshop?
 
Hi guys any new solutions on how to get homebrew for 2DS v9.9 and bypass nag or do I kill myself in despair...also if no solution should I just update my 2ds to latest software or should I still wait? thanks

- There's nothing on the horizon.
- If you update to latest FW, you'll lose the possibility to install/use MenuHax (and BrowserHax in the remote case it will be fixed)... but you'll gain access to eShop and another online services and if you want homebrew, your only options will be NinjHax, OoT3DHax or IronHax (this last if you had some older version installed).

Alright, I changed the DNS but I am still seeing the error message, so what do I do to resolve this issue? What did I miss? Was I supposed to tweak a setting on the Router?

*New* 3DS
System Version: 10.1.0-27U
Current DNS (Not Auto-obtain): 008.008.008.008 and 008.008.004.004
Proxy: Do Not Use
IP Address: Auto-obtain


EDIT: Changed it to tubehax's DNS and it worked.

I have a n3ds 10.1, and I am trying to get into browserhax. If I use the google dns, I get the "need to update" message. When I use the other dns in the first page, I get an error saying "the browser cannot be used at this time". Is there anything I can do? I tried looking for a cubic ninja game but they are pretty expensive. Thanks

Aside from the DNS, did you try what OP suggested?

Also, if you have a powersaves and OoT (which you don't play/don't mind being unable to play) you can use OoThax instead. It replaces your main savefile though, so know what you're getting in to. Look up how to do that as I don't have a powersaves so I can't verify. Or even better: if you know a friend with an already homebrew enabled 3ds (can boot into homebrew) they can install OoThax for you as well. It will still replace the save file though.
 
yes I tried to load the browser just like the op said, but I get the update message. I don't know anyone with a homebrewed enabled n3ds so that option is not available for me. If I went out and purchased OOT would I be able to do the oothax, or would that not work due to me still needing to get online?

I just tried browserhax on a New 3DS 9.9.0 using tubehax as a DNS (and I did get the "you need to update to use the web browser" nag) and it still works, trust me.

Home-brew channel on New 3DS <10.3 can be launched via browserhax if you are quick enough.

For people below 10.4 wanting to use browserhax, the browser block takes around 30 seconds to activate after you turn the 3DS on, therefore just do it fast after bookmarking the thing. It might require multiple reboots, but it does work.

7 reboots later and no success.
 
Okay, my tries so far in case anyone was wondering.
1) Reformat n3ds (FW 10.1 U)
2) Use the QR code without internet to your browser--> yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax.php
3) Once thats put in, you should have only that tab open. You can close it and return to home page.
4) Go to wifi, set it up to your internet connection (but for me I'm a worry freak so I put in the incorrect password on purpose)
5) Go to your connection and edit settings under DNS.
  • Primary DNS 107.211.140.165
  • Secondary DNS 107.211.140.065
6) Now is the repetitive part...just keep entering browser and if it says the error message, cannot connect, just go back out to Home menu and try try again...
7) Eventually the loading screen glitched out and I was finally able to enter HB.
8) I scroll to the Menuhax manager, install it, hit A, then A again, then B to exit once its done. Reboot N3DS
9) Turn it on, hit top left corner of settings, hit Theme change. It'll load a few seconds with that square block then go into theme settings. Exit and turn off

Now I'm off to work but I'll try to come back and work on it some more tonight. Hopefully it all goes well and others can see it working here. I just find alot of posts were either too indepth and complicated for me to understand :P , or not enough info to know whether or not I can use what they did. That being said, this DS is new, bought but has tried to update before, so it does come up with the please update message. I also have never installed any hax onto the DS so this will be the first time.

Edit: Finally home. Followed these steps on this guy's youtube video and it seemed to work after...7 more tries? It even hung up at the sysupdater menu where it asks to press Y or A for downgrade or upgrade. But finally finished and...yay~ downgraded :)

Update 1/]26/2016: so...turns out there's been another update for the 10.4 where browserhax still works. I'd watch out if I were you guys...tried to mod my sister's 3ds but she already updated. Not sure if it fixes it. Haven't tried yet

Does anyone know if the browser check only checks the browser version or does it check the firmware as well? That is, can you just download and install the latest browser to emunand and have it work again? Or even just download the earlier browser and spoof it to v5121 using 3dnus?
 
I thought that an O3DS With 10.4 Firmware was still able to perform the browserhax, did I misunderstood this?
 
N3DS on 9.9 worked.
20+ tries of the proposed steps and no luck, so I did this:
Instead of visiting the _auto.php page (which only determines which exploit page to refer you to based on your system), I visited the exploit page directly. This worked on the first try.

But please try the auto page 100 times or more before you do this and if you decide to visit the exploit page directly, double check which page is the right one for your system, since I have no idea what the worst case scenario with this is
