If Nintendo Zone is down, then what the h*** I get Pokemon figure for get Hoopa? It is this some kind of prank or an scam to get Hoopa? I did follow the step but problem is Nintendo Zone is down. Only way to get Hoopa is go to Mcdonald and get on Nintendo Zone then follow the step from paper that you got Pokemon figure. (I really need get Lugia but none of them have it.) But Nintendo Zone is down, so what can I do?

How can I do that? Beside, it won't let you use WiFi connection because you have to home website to send you to accept to connect to WiFi. 3DS don't support that like Android or Apple phone.

Seems I was right. No need for MAC cloning or anything. Just set your router's SSID to "McDonalds Free WiFi" (without quotes, CAPITALISATION MATTERS!) and turn off security (no WEP/WPA/WPA2), then go to Mystery Gift -> From Internet in the game (tested on US version of X and AS)

Want to know how to get the Pokemon HOOPA from home instead of going to McDonalds? Here's how! Change your home router to SSID "McDonalds Free WiFi" - it has to be spelled exactly that way. Also, make sure your network is open, and not locked with WPA/etc. Then check for a gift on the internet in your respective Pokemon game, done. Now you have Hoopa without leaving home :-) This will only work for NA Regional 3DS & 2DS's (USA, Canada & Mexico) - it will not work for EU or Asian DS's.

Just either rename you routers wireless to that and connect your DS to it and go to mystery gift.

Or you can use your phones wireless hotspot option and do the same and connect

I am using right now on my 3DS and Nintendo Zone is still down. Even you try it at McDonald, it still down.

You don't need to access the Nintendo Zone app. You just need to go to mystery gift in Pokemon when a wireless network with the name previously posted is present. It will connect and give you Hoopa...

You've been making a lot of things complicated recently... There's never any need to.

All you have to do... is just rename your Network SSID to McDonalds Free WiFi (with capitalization) and make your network so there's no security (WEP/AES, etc.) and simply save the settings and just simply check for a gift in Pokémon...

McDonald's will pay for people's n00biness...

My guess is that the McDonald's WiFi connection is designated as "a Nintendo Zone", distinct from "Nintendo Zone" (The app). Probably...

Anyway, just renaming an open network should work.

You don't have to connect to Nintendo Zone™.
then why I have this piece of paper? I feel like owner of Pokemon already use his trollface on him.

Alright. I will give a try again when I get ready to do.

Staff, lock this thread. I already got answer for help. It seem owner of Pokemon is doing trollface on me to use Nintendo Zone to play my anger problem.

Dude the event ended this morning. Why are you only trying to get it now when it's been available since November 27th?
