I've been busy looking at fourms and with the IOSU (somewhat) almost here, I was just wondering if there could be a Wire3D for Wii U (with more potential since the Wii U's specs are greater than Wii's).
That's the eventual goal, except more like Nintendo's own 3D engine, might even use the same formats.I've been busy looking at fourms and with the IOSU (somewhat) almost here, I was just wondering if there could be a Wire3D for Wii U (with more potential since the Wii U's specs are greater than Wii's).
What 3D engine are you referring to?That's the eventual goal, except more like Nintendo's own 3D engine, might even use the same formats.
Look hereCould you clear things up? I don't have a 3DS so ... what is it?
Thank you sir! So it's just an engine like Unreal or Cryengine that supports Windows and Wii (homebrew)?
Alright but in fact it's an "easy" way to develop 3D games for Wii (homebrew). That's great. And it would be even greater to have it with Wii U's hardware power as well.Wire3D is a Unity extension, but you still have to do some C coding to piece together the exported assets.
I use it, but I don't use it much. Like I say, you can export the assets, but then the hardest bit is to piece together the assets in C code, which is, in fact, a bit of a pain.Alright but in fact it's an "easy" way to develop 3D games for Wii (homebrew). Is that necessary to use it, I never got it working on Windows or Wii.but then the hardest bit is to piece together the assets in C code, which is, in fact, a bit of a pain.
yeah, I'm afraid so. Even I've never been able to tackle it!Is that necessary to use it, I never got it working on Windows or Wii.
I hope the Wii U version is different. Something that doesn't rely on Unity.yeah, I'm afraid so. Even I've never been able to tackle it!
There's a Unity for Wii U, but you need to be a licensed dev to get it.I hope the Wii U version is different. Something that doesn't rely on Unity.
I feel that the homebrew version would be easier than that. There's a Unity for Wii U, but you need to be a licensed dev to get it.

I know... I was just pointing it out.I feel that the homebrew version would be easier than that.
Oh. Well than I knew that already.I know... I was just pointing it out.
