And it's not working. I'm using a Samsung T1 250gb usb 3 external SSD. The loader can read the games from it, but when I launch a game, the screen goes black. I'm testing it with Okami, and once I got the red loading icon to appear, but that was it. I originally used a HDD, which works with USB loader gx on both my wii and wii u. The SSD, strangely enough, works on my wii, but not my wii u. I tried using the USB 3 cable that came with it, tried using a different usb 3 cable, tried using a USB 2 cable, tried plugging it in different usb ports on the wii u, tried deleting the .cfg files, tried changing the game's cios, tried uninstalling the d2x cios I have installed using the d2x installation guide from this site and reinstalling it (using the same files as before), I even tried using Wii Flow, but that won't work with my SSD either. That's pretty much all the info I can think of about this, aside from providing a system check (which I cannot provide until tomorrow evening). So, hopefully someone can help me out with this =/

it's not fully not working, as it's detected, mounted, can list games from it inside the loader.
It can also boot the game and see some of its beginning intro, which means the cIOS see and mount it successfully.
the drive being an SSD doesn't matter to the console, the usb interface is doing the job to convert SSD to USB, the console see a standard USB protocol like any other working drives or enclosure.

did you try other games, or only okami?
could be an ISO issue

I tried a few other games, yes. I forgot to mention that I have 2 partitions on it. The main one, which is about 200gb is in WBFS format, and the other is in fat32 I believe.

the partition format shouldn't affect the compatibility, but you'd better use FAT32 for Wii games.
WBFS is a 5 years old and abandoned format, which corrupts games.

before formating it, try to place a game on your exiting FAT32 partition.
in USBGX, set the partition to see in settings>hdd settings>first option to scroll between all available partitions.
