O3DS sysnand 9.0 emunand 10.3.
It was working fine until I tried to update rxtools.

Is there something specifically with rxtools and microSD cards? Everything works except the rxmode including the emunand with Gateway. And rxtools was working fine before I tried to update.

Yes it's different code base and this doesn't just happen here this is a problem with every other sd or mini sd devices wii and ezf4

Ok, I am formatting a standard SD card for use now.

With a standard SD card, fresh emunand and fresh install of rxtools the result is exactly the same. Rxtools will launch but I get a black screen if I try to use rxmode in sysnand or emunand.

Edit: I think something about my system is a little messed up. I am going to restore my nand from an old backup and start over.

When you swapped over to the SD card, did you just copy the folders from the mSD, or did you start from scratch? It's not a good idea to change versions without removing your /firm and/or /data folders.

Everything was done from scratch.

I just finished restoring my nand and creating a new emunand. Now after rxtools finished installing it freezes on the installation complete screen. I have tried four or five different rxtools builds now but the result is the same.

Everything still loads fine with gateway.

Getting the same black screen issue on my N3DS when using the latest nightly. Just tried reverting back to October 2nd's build (latest build with DS support at the time), and everything is fine again. Has anything changed in regards to the firm files for N3DS users since then?

Yeah, you need other firmware files than for 10-02. I believe for latest nightly you would have to download them by yourself with the firm.py script inside tools folder.

I gave up. I've done everything I can possibly think of. Most builds lock up during the installation process and the rest lock up immediately after.

I do not think that the ones that do make it to the installation complete screen are actually complete. They get to the third square and then it jumps to the complete screen and locks up.

The only one I could get to actually boot to emunand was a stable build from the beginning of October but it was complete and did not need a to "install". The bad thing about it was there were black blocks in my home menu that caused the system to crash if you selected them.

I never bothered with anything but the 10-02 build and it works perfectly on my n3ds. Boot rate is like 95 percent, combined with ctrbootmanager. Also I have no idea the new nightlies could offer that the 10-02 build doesn't have. I mean, the rxMenu Emunand works great and rxtools itself, what does it have to offer? Injection of FBI doesn't work on n3ds so I did that with decrypt9, which can also generate xorpads. So I practically don't need anything else but rxMenu and I don't think the new nightlies can add anything worthy to have to this. At least for now I have not noticed anything that I miss.

That was what I had the originally. I tried to update and now nothing works, not even the 10-02. It keeps locking up on the install screen.

Latest nightly build does not work on n3ds use 10-2 build and no u cant

I thought that script was only for O3DS users? I could be wrong, but I believe that N3DS users have always only needed that single .bin file

Doesn't matter too much; I only needed the new build to dump and object my imports.db file. That worked fine, so I'll just revert to the 10-02 build until there's more news .

What's the latest build with DS flashcard support in emunand on N3ds? 10-2? Im on a december build now
