he meant K, which translates to 50000-100000 dollars

If someone even wanted to sell it. I'm just basing this off of market data for 0day exploits. Most script kiddies around here don't understand how much technical expertise and time/resources it takes to create new exploits.

I wouldn't be against leaking the kernel/userland exploits for 100k... lol

For $100 I'm sure you could get someone to find the memory offsets for you.

Try more like somewhere between $50K-$100K for a 0day userland and kernel exploit for 5.5.0.
Well, if it can work that way, why don't we do something like crowdfunding a 9.3-10.3 kernel exploit + web browser entrypoint for 3DS ? :creep:

it was "tried" most of the people saying they would donate imho looked to be childish bullsh*"ers thinking they would get the goods and never pay a penny, tbh the person running that thread was adding anything to the list of pledgers even if they were obviously taking the piss just to make the prize pot seem bigger than it ever actually would be, realistically i think before the thread was locked OP had a total of like $700, of that i would honestly say any taker would have been lucky to get $100......very lucky
thought hackers didnt take money, if it helped them release 5.5 sooner i wouldnt mind donating money.
ofc they would, but it would have to be a better offer than $100 and a lollipop, and have some sort of guarantee that the people pledging support aren't just kids making up amounts to sound cool "I WILL PAY $1,000,000,000 once its released......but not until :creep::creep::creep::creep::creep:"

If money is a concern why doesn't hackers use somekind of a crowdfunding service such as Kickstarter?
I mean, I can understand if it does compromise your identity or if it goes against the services' polices, but I'm not even sure of how they work on that side.

Even if you do that, there's always that one 'elite' fuck who thinks making money off it isn't cool and then rats you out by emailing PayPal or whatever.
They don't really check shit either and they can just freeze your account without warning. Don't believe me? Try donating on the wupinstaller.com website and you'll see that someone already collected his scumbag of the year award.
It's completely understandable if developers ask for money. They too have responsibilities and don't always have the time to code. Using donations they can keep doing what they like.
