Hacking When can we expect the new System Update?

I'd honestly bet on Christmas (because we know the servers are screwed up on holidays, Im looking at you psn and live haha), sometime in january, or february to be honest. XenoX is coming, 2 Zelda titles still coming, and probably some other stuff I'd play I dont know about. I'm sure an update is there somewhere.

Kind of wonder if they will ever add achievments/trophies, even inf it's on NX. We have Miiverse already, so it's really the only thing I don't see yet in that area. I'd love to have some big Platinum Trophies on my account for 100% a Zelda/Mario/Racing in x hours or collecting every other Trophy (should be counted towards 100% anyways imo).

Someone is confident that Nintendo is going to patch some exploits, giving a reason to release them into the scene. Knowing Nintendo the next one will just remove more features.

Well, 5.5.0 removed the useless TVii icon since it flopped. I wouldn't be surprised if other useless things were removed.

Simple answer to this thread: Even if an update comes out soon, don't update. I heard that Marionumber1 ported a very buggy kernel exploit to 5.4 and 5.5. However, it will take months before perfection and release.

My magic earlobes say that it comes with the ability to double processing power and ram OTA. It also has official support for Loadiine, cafiine, and more. Apparently the update comes out next month.

that is the japan store who knows what they will do outside japan, japan always gets the best goodies.Also i still prefer phisical discs, i can get them phisical discs much cheaper used discs than e shop full price, and i keep my discs for my collection in years to come too xD.

Yeah me too, I prefer phisycal, some boxart are too sexy to pass out , but still, there are games only available on eShop like Fatal Frame 5, and other gems from indie devs. Anyway the old Digital Download Promotion also give you a 10% disscount for every purchase on eShop, it was available worldwide, I wouln't be surprised if the new one lunch outside Japan. This is part of the My Nintendo thing, it supposed replace Club Nintendo.
