Hi,

Just found out about this today and I'm looking for some help. I'm running a N3DSXL at 9.9.0-26E. I'm continually getting the message prompt to update to the latest firmware. I'm aware Nintendo have released a dummy browser(correct?) to try combat the issue. I've tried on both DNS options (auto and the two DNS's listed in the update thread) and I continue to receive this message.

So in short, am I screwed for the time being? I'm using the 1.2v of Browserhax and not the 2.0v, could this be an issue? Would it be recommended to start over entirely and see if this issue is consistent?

Stuck and not the most informed on this, so a little clarity or even confirmation as to where I go from here is definitely appreciated.

Thanks.

Screwed.
You should have used the DNS before seeing the update message.

Damn. Any expectation as to when this might again be viable?

In terms of possibilities that don't require games (Cubic Ninja etc), are there any more that I may not be aware of? Or am I screwed entirely?

Thanks.

Scan the QR code with wifi off. It will kick you out to the home menu. Then activate your wifi and browserhax should load. You have to load the browser as soons as you activate your wifi. if it gives you the update nag, deactivate wifi and activate it again after 5 seconds or so.

You are on the same boat as me and a lot of other people.
No exploits coming out at all. Just wait a while, something might show up... But it's getting very unlikely because people are becoming bigger asses and it feels like they don't want any newcomers to the scene.

You're not entirely screwed. You just have to visit the BrowserHax link as soon as you turn on your 3DS.

if you have the NEW 3ds, then shut down your console entirely and the second it boots on race to the browser and launch browserhax

Awesome stuff. Lemme try that and see how I get on. Is there a need to power off the 3DS for each attempt? Or just go straight to the browser each time I activate?

That's what I've been doing to no luck. Each time getting the prompt to update to latest firmware. does it usually take a number of attempts?

I'll try this as well. Cheers!

No need to power off the thing. Just stick to wifi disable/enable method.
If you don't fancy using custom themes, then you can set themehax after you successfully load browserhax.

Change your DNS settings. Set the Primary DNS to 107.211.140.165 and Secondary DNS to 107.211.140.065. Then turn off, turn on and go to the BrowserHax link asap. Works for me every try.

ThemeHax supports custom themes now.

You're the fucking man. On the Homebrew Launcher now!

Glad it worked out for you but credits to Seita for creating that thread in the first place. Otherwise I wouldn't have known.

Absolutely. Credit is always due to those who put in the work. Great to see there's a number of people here willing to help they way you guys have. Really appreciated.
