So I was transfering the new GW update to my SD right now, before that I deleted a game. But then everything went horrible. My PC said I must format the SD card because apparently it's damaged or something. My 3DS also can't access the SD. I just don't know why this is happening :(

It's a 32GB mSD connected with an adapter (the adapter is not the issue). :(

What do? :(

When I got errors like that with MicroSD's within an adapter, I switched to another adapter and it worked, but you said it's not the adapter.

Out of my... I think I now have 8 mSD cards, one of them will act wonky and my devices will detect it as corrupt. It's a pain in the butt, but I have to take it out of the adapter and put it back in until it does work. It's some PNY mSD card. It's just that one mSD too.

Try taking it out and putting it in until your patience wears dry or until it works again, if it does. I don't mean that in a rude way either. If it sounded rude, I'm sorry. Like I said, I have to do the same with that one mSD card.

If you can't do anything the normal way, there are partition recovery software that'll work to save whatever data you had on there. I haven't need of one in a long while, but I'm sure there are free solutions that'll work well for you.

What specifically are you hoping to save? Loads of installed CIAs, save files, what?

I tried it with an SD adapter and 2 USB adapter. Doesn't work. :/
Do a low level format to your SD with HDDLLF (you'll lost every data of your SD card), if that doesn't revive your sd then I don't really know.
Ok I will try. :) (edit: Oh what I'll lose everything with that? NO!! :()

I tried Recuva but it doesn't seem to work. Or I don't how to do it. :/

Keep trying until it works, then take no chances and copy everything to your computer right away. Then replace the SD Card and copy everything onto the new card. Make sure it's formatted correctly first.

If all you're wanting is a useable microSD, then you can format.

If you're wanting to recover the files, or your emunand, you're going to need to not format it and use some method of recovery.

Which are you wanting to do? Before I go through the hassle of writing out how to do a full recovery.

I want to save everything if possible. If not I will buy a new larger card because I was running out of space anyway.

Alright, don't format. formatting will erase what you have. Emunand is its own partition, so I'm not sure whether you can recover that. Someone else with experience will have to chime in with that.

With that in mind, google "ADRC Data Recovery Tools" and try that software.

It says "Scanning complete" or something like that, but doesn't show me anything.

I have no hope. My optimism is gone, as well as my saves (my poor Pokemon :'() and my CIAs that took forever to install.

In this cruel world, only the fittest can survive. I will try to survive, but it just hurts so much. Darkness has visited me, the shadows are filling my body and fear is controlling my mind. "The evil", darkness whispers to my ear, "is now in you".

But enough of that, when I get a new SD, what must I do?

Always use high quality reader (such as Kingston MobileLite G4) & do not use USB port with bad grounding to prevent electrical damage.
Always use durable SD/MicroSD.

Always do the "safely remove USB device" thing.

People don't think it be like it is, but it do.

And tone down on the dramatics, you're getting on people's nerves.

don't give up, I didn't read the whole thread but way back I had an SD I used for both my Wii and my NDS light and it just died one day the computer couldn't even recognize it not to mention to see the files, it was DEAD!

now is the fun part where I tell how to get your files back ^^

after a lot of trying I gave up and then after like 2 years I tried again on a pc I thought I can "make" it recognize the SD, I used a recovery program and got all the files back ALLLLL of them

so what I an saying is you are in a very good condition because your pc can at least read your SD and its not dead like mine so it wont be really that hard for you^^ yay for you!

do it, get your files back and then try to fix your SD, if you can't fix it then fuck it, buy a new one

if one program doesn't work it doesn't matter there isn't another better one, if you can't find one that works talk to me in PM i'll be happy to help ^^

Happy file scavenging

I've tried EVERYTHING and it still doesn't work, it's safe to say that all my data is gone.

I ordered a new card, it will arrive on saturday.

It's weird, a few days before, I was playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, I had 5 badges and got HM Surf, I was full of hope. Now... everything scattered into pieces... Oh my soul, try not to cry, it is the afterlife you chose, here, I am giving you a rose. Take care of you, while you think of us two. Oh my soul, I wish I had you for longer, I thought our bond was stronger.

Use software called "test disk" for recover lost partitions on your sd card. For instruction how to use software find it on google. Its free and verry good. If your card is working chanses for restoring is high.
yeah I'm starting to think he's a troll lol.. a recovery program should do the trick and he's not even trying it, just keeps on being melodramatic
