Extracted FS3D's romfs files and all I get are .blz files. they don't work with EFE. How do i open them?
I think it's Flipnote Studio 3DWhat is FS3D? I'm sure it's obvious but it's hard to help if we don't know which game.
since it have the .blz extension, it PROBABLY uses the Backward LZ compression (it have this name because the header and data starts at the end of the file, and is decompressed all the way back to the beggining). If that is the case, you can use either ctr_compress from the 3DS SDK to decompress it, if you dont have you can also try the open tools made by CUE here.Extracted FS3D's romfs files and all I get are .blz files. they don't work with EFE. You need to copy the blz.exe program file to the same folder as your .blz files, then hold shift and right-click when you're in that folder. Select 'open a command window here' and type:Hello and.. sorry for annoying . <_> but I been stuck with .blz files for a while now ( almost 2 week searching about), reading all kind of topics too didn't had answers to that, people don't seem to answer neither. I don't have the 3ds sdk to descompress those files, the other way, the opens tools it's used in a ds? or I can open using windows? ( I kind tried but the command window close right after I open it. I have luma 3ds, there's other way to decompress a Blz file? (I also tried progams that said it could open it but nothing.) please! ;;
You need to copy the blz.exe program file to the same folder as your .blz files, then hold shift and right-click when you're in that folder. Select 'open a command window here' and type:
blz.exe -d FILENAME
Replace FILENAME with your .blz file's filename.
The .blz will now be decompressed - it will still have the .blz extension, though, because BLZ encoded files don't store the original name or anything.
Hope that helped (:
I think the game devs had the sense to put the original extension in there too (more than can be said for FS3D... but they were plain DARCs anyways haha), so just decompress them like a BLZ and remove the _BLZ from the filename as I think .tdss is the original extension (:Thanks a lot for the suggestion!! Though it didn't seem work.. it's a weird kinda of file, it has the extension of tdss_blz, it's still a blz extension or it's something else?
I will try! Tbh when I tried I didn't had any hope but !!!Good luck :3
I can't say that I'm experienced with this side of ROM hacking (MSBT edits and code.bin editing are my area, see Project Kaeru), unfortunately, and haven't come across a TDSS file before. Yeah, try opening it in Ohana3DS and EFETbh when I tried I didn't had any hope but !!!
I expect other people that have trouble can read this treat and do the same!! I took the _Blz and it was decoded! Very easy ;o; though, I was expecting models and other things, does Ohana3ds or Eveyrfileexplorer will open it now that its decoded? I'm trying to get the model from this same file but I'm not sure where to go now, blz extractor or anything?
