Emulators tend to go for more single-core power, most of the consoles that are emulated don't use more than 2 cores, hence why dolphin or even this would run badly(dolphin is the exception due to it being fairly optimized), i would recommend getting an intel if you plan to run a wii or wii u emulator!

owch. i mean im 19 and unemployed right now, this is actually mom's laptop so what would you recommend?

I would wait until the emu is more flourished before we start deciding what works and doesn't work, Intel would be the better choice being as it's a good thing to have for emus(if you can afford it, even the intel G2358 would work wonders).

EDIT: another option would be to Overclock but that's a bit risky

EDIT 2: mispelled the processor, g3258, not g2358 lol

honestly i wouldn't go upgrading your PC just to use this at this stage its just a wip emulator, if you really want to play wiiu games the money would be better spent buying a actual wiiu, unless you actually need to upgrade your PC anyway

No mate, we are talking about sm 3d world not super mario bros ! Wake up. 3D WORLD only displays controller screen and then it black screens!

AMD CPU's can run emulator as good as Intel, if the emulator is properly optimized. Same goes for PC games.
Go play dolphin emulator and have fun with stutters then, Emulators struggle on amd processors because amd doesn't focus on power, they focus on more cores, why do you think everyone recommends intel for emulation? it's not because they are fanboys, it's because more power to actually run it, an emu goes through various processes, a Switch of thousands of ARM commands then the dev has to create every action for it as well, it gets very resource intensive on certain games.

EDIT: i also forgot the one major issue of emulating 3D games, shader compilation, Metroid prime? still has issues with it to date, now think of what it's going to be like with WiiU

Agreed, there are some instructions set that are missing on AMD CPU's(if 'm not wrong), but in this case and Dolphin, i see no issues, on other stuff...
you know
xD

I can't actually remember which instruction set it was that made amd horrible on dolphin, but dolphin eventually made some wonderful progress on it, making games like melee and even brawl run fairly good on even amd! I wish i knew what set it was xD

EDIT: i should probably stop replying so quickly to everything, i feel like people are going to start thinking im spamming lol

I never called anyone a fanboy here. Anyway, I don't wanna argue. I appreciate your answer.

I just released Cemu 1.0.2! Visit the new official Cemu website for the download link. You can also find a detailed changelog there.
To summarize, this release consists mostly of behind-the-scenes changes and several improvements for the rendering backend.
Thanks! Any more game support?

First attempt on 1.0.2 Mario Kart 8. looks a lot better visually, Shading on the char select screen is much better now, ingame shows a yellow screen tho but it's progress!
Pikmin 3 changed very little(i didn't see any changes at least)
Smash 4 crashes on load, same with Sonic lost worlds and a couple other games
Wind Waker became a black screen behind menus for me
SM3DW crashes after controller screen still

Will edit this post once i test more games!

EDIT: splatoon characters don't look like satan now at least!
