Soooo

I had gotten Hombrew channel (second version, with grid layout) And after a while of use, it started to not work. As in, you try getting there and it would freeze on the red screen. (through Ninjhax and menuhax)
So I thought I'd go through my folders and see if everything was in order. I didn't find anything worng, so I just reinstalled everything. It worked...once. After it was fixed, it went back to not working.

I then got the original homebrew back, and it works fine. The load up however...is a different story.
It used to take no more than at least 5 seconds to load up and now it takes nearly 15. I know it's not very important, but it gets annoying. Especially with me switching around apps a lot.

I reinstalled everything once more after staring my SD card fresh...still having the issue. Does anyone know what happened?

Alsoooo by any chance does anyone know how to reset the configuration on HANS? I accidentally picked the wrong settings and I can't fix them without it trying to get to the game and freezing at a black screen.

Thanks!

For HANS, hold L when you start it until menu shows.
Make a clean install with the new starter.zip on http://smealum.github.io/3ds/, and use the new boot.3dsx if you didn't

Thank you for the tip on fixing my Hans settings. That went well, but I'm still having issues concerning the Homebrew launcher. I tried, but it's still not looking so good. the last few times it took up to a full minute to load up. Blargnes isn't working either upon loading roms.

Turn off the title preload in your launcher
How would I go about doing so?

Well, Blargnes is fixed xD
Now all that remains is that stubborn loading time.

Never noticed it before, but even my actual 3DS startup time is incredibly long.

Okaaaaay, So, I fixed it. Sadly, I cannot tell you exactly how I did it, but lets just say, its good to make backup folders of your SD card.

Update:
Turns out that the slowdown was caused by me swapping SD cards. But this can be fixed. I just had to move all of my files, format the SD and make it into a 64 bit. the size I had from before was very low. (Change file system to FAT) to Changing this booted the loading speed by 70% both for the Homebrew launcher, and home menu access. (exFAT offers even more kb's, but I don't wanna risk messing anyone up or anything like that, so I'll test it first. )
Fore those who don't follow, I shall create pictures as an example.

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just that it worked wonders for my loading time, and I was hoping to help anyone else with the same problem.

Try a different sd card. I have a fast uhs-1 sd card that, for some reason, take about 10 seconds to load the hb menu while on the stock class 4 card it's almost instant. weird

Way ahead of ya.
I've tried the original SD that Nintendo paired with the 3DS, one I got off the internet, another that is a microSD, some of the same SD's in different memory sizes, and even different brands. Same result. But I was able to speed them all up with what I posted.

I'm normally good at reading the whole thread before posting, but I didn't there. Sorry.

That's an interesting solution. I need to try that to fix my "fast" slow sd card. :P

Well, please hold up for a sec. I need to make sure I gave the right format xD
Testing it now.

Edit: I'm an idiot.

Don't use FAT, use NTFS, otherwise, your 3DS wont read the card.
Still use 64 kb. anything below results in slower loading. Apologies.

No. The 3DS can only read FAT32. It cannot read NTFS or FAT32. Use 8192k for file allocation table.

Larger cluster size should help loading times a little but I am surprised it had that big of an effect.

I always avoid setting cluster size to a large value because I did it back in the day to speed up load times in DS ROMs to prevent them glitching up, but my card filled up a lot faster because of all the wasted KBs, especially in small files which were just a few KB big but took 64KB of space due to the cluster size (in that particular case it was the cheat DB which had a separate file for each game), so keep that in mind.
