Everyone, let's all calm down first and asses the situation.

I have Firmware 9.9.0.26U and I can still use my web browser normally and run browserhax, this is redundant to me however as I already have themehax installed.

I should note however, that I am utilizing the tubehax DNS to block the annoying update nags, so maybe it also blocked it for the browser?

Good thing I still have my copy of Cubic Ninja in case of these emergencies. I started dumping a cartridge to try it out, but I might as well back out and try this myself. People seem to be saying it's only affecting US consoles. I'm on a EUR system so let me try real quick.

EDIT: Well shit.

Nintendo Logic: Let's block inoffensive homebrew but let's allow piracy cards like Sky3DS

That's the reason why the company is dying.
It's kind of hard to block the Sky3DS since it's like a cartridge emulator. It acts as a regular old cartridge but the game data is on an sd instead. If they attempted to block it, they would more than likely affect legimate 3DS users.

I am also on the same firmware I was also using tubehax dns but I turned it off for a while so that I could see if the eshop was back on then put the dns back on. It prompt and ask me to update.

Man the 3DS scene is going downhill fast. September was great but since then we've lost most of our entrypoints and hax 2.5 breaks a bunch of apps...

No, I have the DNS too and it's blocked.

I don't have update nags on my consoles, never had them and I don't remember putting any special DNS...any explanation for that one ? Is it because I get the Wifi from a box or what ?

Anyway, I think the good thing is it seems the base of smeahaxs is unpatchable. So, if a new entry point is discovered, a legit CIA installation app would be necessary to downgrade the patched apps like the browser or themes. Who knows, maybe after that MSET could be used again to launch smeahax.

Yep, and that's why they started putting AP checks in games.
Somehow the game itself is able to tell it's a fake but the actual 3DS itself cannot... weird.
