What the hell happened to my alerts
It means you checked your alerts at one point but never clicked to open it. And then it ignores any more updates for the thread.

At least that's what had happened in my experience so far.

Instead of manually editing the ignored titles, is it possible to implement this as a setting menu? Show the grid and toggle on/off the titles to ignore.

Do you think this will upgrade to the point where it completely replaces the regular homemenu? For example, support to be able to move around icons/add all non-homebrew apps.

So, @mashers do you think there will be any compatibility issues with the new update Smealum is aiming to release later today?

I think these have all been suggested before, but not implemented for various reasons (by choice, or viewed as being too much effort for little reward).

I would also add that the UI could be presented more cleanly. The four buttons on each corner of the screen could be reduced down to one button in the top left corner, with a drop down menu much like the Home Menu does it. This would make things feel less cluttered and give room for additional icon space. And the whole pages of apps thing could be changed to one screen of apps you can go left or right on as the Home Menu does it. Subtle animations do a lot to improve the feel of an app.

He will have to update the launcher with smea's new changes. Until he figures stuff out, you'll have to use the standard HBL to make use of the new Ninjhax.

Next beta, not current.

@Cydget @kiwiis
The source is on GitHub so anybody is free to implement these features. From my perspective it's not really worth it. Of course I realise that animations would improve the UI experience, but implementing that would be nightmarish.

@arse
I have absolutely no idea. I know as much about 2.5 as anybody else.

@fiese_nase
Unlikely. This would mean creating a database of all the installed apps to link with their icon metadata. This would be an enormous overhaul of how the launcher works.

@mashers Yeah I totally understand. You've done a lot more with HBL than anyone else has and I wasn't trying to diminish that for a second. Merely brainstorming in case anyone with the ability to contribute were looking for ideas.

That said, are you nearly done with what you set out to do or do you have any further cool ideas brewing? Think you'll eventually get this to become the default launcher? :)

@mashers, what do you think about what I posted about a possible idea of selecting the titles to ignore? A toggle-list would be easier than editing a text file
