So I booted up my Wii U just a few moments ago and found a YouTube update available. I'm just curious whether it's because an exploit / vulnerability was found or is it just to add new features / fix the loop of death?

You can start reading the full changelog and if you something "suspicious" give it a try.

Well, there was no new features and the update was 65 mb. I was just curious.
And I never spam this forum, btw.
Did it ever occur to you that they simply updated the app to make it better (change the layout, code cleanup, add content).

I can actually understand what he's trying to say!
I think he's just curious whether Youtube was updated because someone found an exploit in the app, or whether it's just a new features/fix update.

Either way, he needs to word it correctly, next time.
Also, it's just plain dumb to shitpost like this, so Imma call @Bortz to lock this up real fast.

Nintendo never fixes exploit, they "Improves gaming experience"
...Wut? :wtf:

I'm guessing you mean that they don't tell anyone that they've fixed it.

possible, yes. relevant, no.

Does Wii-Utube do what they do on 3DS and make their own bastardized webkit browser app to load from their site? I am sure this is the sole reason you are asking.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
