Homebrew Move Save States Between Systems.

Hello people. I have a question that i am pretty sure it not possible but gonna ask anyway.

Before i ask the question that i am going through Mother 3 (great game btw) on my Wii (playing on vbagx)

and now i have a gameboy emulator on my 3DS and i want to continue through my save on my 3DS (i don't have the patience to go through all of it again)

So is it a way that i can transfer the save file from vbagx to the emulator on my 3DS?

I don't know much about those emulators, but try to copy save your save state that probably saved somewhere and place it in your 3ds sd card where gameboy saves are saved.
Note gba emulation on old 3ds not very playable.

Doesn't VBAGX create a .sav file next to the .gba?
If not maybe in a save folder.

To use the save, just rename it exactly like the rom (as long as you own the original game), and place them in the same folder.

Launch an emulator (mGBA, or gpSP) and select the rom from the same folder.

Dammit! I forgot... I remember that i downloaded the SNES emulator not a gba.... Silly me but now i have hard time finding the right gba emulator but do you know which is the best gba emulator for the 3DS?

There mgba which is still beta I think and citragb (gpsp) both very laggy on o3ds

Mother 3 currently doesn't work on any emulator. Self checked, and is not on the compatibility list.

You probably have a bad dump. I just booted a fresh Japanese copy in RetroArch-gpSP and CitrAGB (both on New 3DS, with CIA builds) just fine. Tried the English patch as well (patched this same clean ROM) and it also worked.

It's not my dump, as I've tried with numerous dumps. It's pointed out in the compatibility list. Also OP is using an old 3DS.

But, AFAIK, Virtual Console-games do not accept .sav files. Or do they?

I'm not sure, but I just tested it yesterday with no problems. YMMV though I guess.
