Alright, today i decided to go best buy and buy one of those Samsung EVO 64 gig microsd card for my cia games since I've been running out of space.

  • Now I am not sure if Micro SDXC will work with gateway?

  • I also wanna know I can transfer my shit from my older micro sd card (i use this one with adapter aswell for .cia files) to this new one?

I have not opened this sd card yet, cost me around $40CAD, so if enough people agree on this i might open it or not.

This how my card looks like (inside spoiler):

[edit: for question 2: i hope its not just drag and drop because that would be embarrassing and too easy. like where's the catch]

Nice, dude is it pretty fast?
While it may be fast compared to a really slow memory card, don't expect it to be revolutionary. Installing .cia's won't utilize all 10MB/s that the card offers. Madrid already answered your first question, but for your second one: https://gbatemp.net/threads/emunand-tool-release-and-support-thread.359239/. If you're using the same 3DS and are simply changing microSD cards, it's incredibly simple. Copy current emuNAND, make a new emuNAND on your new microSD card, then inject the first NAND into the new one.

I have nothing to compare it against, but I haven't noticed anything slow if that helps

I prefer using this, it's a sticky thread:

It was simpler for me.

That thread links to the one I linked. Anyway, I don't know how you were confused... emuNAND Tool literally has two buttons. Extract emuNAND and Inject emuNAND. Extract first emuNAND, then inject into second emuNAND.

Guys please don't argue, ummm please don't get me confused.
Wasn't really arguing. Here, I'll give you a step by step.
1: Download emuNAND tool.
2: Put current microSD card into your computer.
3: Run emuNAND tool and select "Extract."
4: Put your new microSD card into your 3DS.
5: Create a new emuNAND.
6: Put your new microSD card into your computer.
7: Rim emuNAND tool and select "Inject."
8: Enjoy your new emuNAND.

Let me explain:
At one point, the tool you pointed to was not working, and this was a work around.
I never said anything was confusing. I just said this was simpler to me.
When I say simpler, I don't mean simpler to understand. I meant simpler to do. This way a got a complete image back up of my sd in case I needed it in the future.

Either way, to each their own. I just stated a preference.

No argument here. Both methods work. Pick whichever you feel more comfortable with :)

What is the cluster size, for formatting to fat32. I hear that it's better if I change it from exfat to fat32.
