I actually got around to some tests. Gambatte .cia is running fullspeed on O3DS after all, which is great. The only game I tried that doesn't run fullspeed all the time is of course Shantae, but it's pretty close, it just dips to 55fps sometimes. It also doesn't have the audio crackling that ruins gameyob for me! Hurray for accurate GB/C emulation on 3DS!

Also, somebody mentioned FCEUmm was running fullspeed on O3DS a few pages back, but that's not the case for me. Dunno why, only getting about 40fps. It's .cia instead of .3dsx, does that have any importance?

I know the 3dsx is running full speed. I can't comment on the cia version but I heard it's running good.

I think deleting the config files before running the latest version was what got the save files working again, for whoever else was having problems with save files.

Anyway I'm back to where I was in Super Metroid, and I'm also backing up the save file, hopefully won't have any more problems if I don't screw around with the config too much :) I'm liking the 1:1 display now btw.

While using gpSP it doesn't read saves. If I save and then quit the game, the savefile is gone next time I try to play. Why is this?

No. Just no. 3ds has better controls, better screen and better overall build quality than both vita and psp. I used to play with the psp emulators like 10 years ago. I was always unhappy and unsatisfied. The performance was great, but I never got the authentic feel. I get that authentic feel when playing emulation on the 3ds :)

generally I get a lot more into games when they're running at a stable framerate

CatSFC running great as a .cia on my n3DS! Very excited about that.

Quick question, and this has always been a thing but I've never really addressed it - has anyone noticed that the audio is playing in a higher pitch on CatSFC? It definitely is for me. Is there some kind of audio setting I can change to make it sound closer to what it would generally sound like?

I don't think any of these are ever gonna get 3D. Lol.

I didn't mean actually implementing a proper 3d system for background layers etc. Just simply allowing you to switch the 3d mode on with no additional effects other than improving the image quality, like in gameyob and fceumm3ds.

That's just how CATSFC is. It's based on an older version of SNES9X before the accurate sound rewrite IIRC. So no way around that.

The fullspeed cias are AWESOME! Thank you! My only complaint is that I can't get my games to display at their native resolution in catsfc and fceumm. (But I can for my gba games.)

Edit: Also, I thought I put my saves in the right location, but apparently not. Where do I put them?
Was messing around with this yesterday. Make sure you have "Integer Scaling" on and "Aspect Ratio Index" set to 4:3 (1:1 PAR). Worked wonders for me. :)
Also, I think saves were moved to somewhere in the "retroarch" folder so check there.

Can we save separate settings for different cores? For example, using Integer Scaling is great for the MegaDrive and Snes, but not so great when playing GameBoy games in Gambatte.

feature. Sounds great. Really like the performance increase?

new build is up with the higher clockspeed change for .cia on new 3DS.
can someone test the gpSP core (the .cia version) ? what fps does it have on n3DS when fast forward is enabled ?

Does this work on n3ds 3dsx versions as well? I didn't noticed any speedboost with the 3dsx version. Wario land at VB 15 fps.

Is there any settings for higher clockspeed or dynarec?

GPSP works at full speed depending on what Game you want to run. SSF2TR (Eur) Crashes the System, DKC runs perfectly
