Hi,

Let's say you're without internet connection on a super long flight and need to run the exploit (or more likely; Gateway's servers are taken down)

How do you run the Cubic Ninja / Ocarina of Time exploit? Is there any way to do this offline? Which URL does the exploit request?

Do you mean on N3DS?

OOT doesn't requires an internet connection at all, and CN requires it only for the initial setup. You can also setup the mset entry point and use the bluecardfix.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yep, on N3DS.

Cool, so OOT doesn't require the internet connection, even for the initial setup?

Btw, does anyone know which URL the initial setup requests?

N3DS cannot use browser exploit.

To run gateway launcher via OOT, you need another device can inject saves.

In case of cubic ninja, scanning QR code does not require internet connection either.

And you can downgrade settings app and install nvram to enter GW through settings app.

I'm 100% sure scanning the QR code requires internet connection for the initial setup, as VerseHell also points out. If you try to run the CN exploit without internet connection the first time, it will simply fail.

QR Codes do require an internet connection. You will just end up with a page that doesn't load and you'll error out from not having a connection.

They can with CFW. It's just that Gateway never implemented that method. It's been the full system downgrade from the start and I guess they didn't bother to change it
Ah, okay. In that case, couldn't you install gateway through the DS profile exploit anyways on the O3DS with a downgraded MSET and a flash card?

You can, but it won't work.

Yeah. Not sure exactly on the details but for some reason it won't work like that. It probably caused by the patches implemented in GW Mode. They're probably set up in a way to work with a completely coherent firmware (not partially downgraded) and so it won't work any other way.

It has to do with a different ROP chain on the different firmwares. Gateway would need to fix the ROP chain for it to work with different firmware versions.
