Hi so with the legit CIAs of those preinstalled games, whats the difference if I install them first then setup NNID, or setup NNID then install them? Do both grant the games to the NNID and redownloadable forever from eshop?
Also, when connecting to eshop the first time after the CIAs are installed, does eshop log your IP so there is record on their server that who collected all these preinstalled games on a single machine?

You can register NNID before or after, they will be added to your purchase list, and you can redownload them when you want

Won't create another thread since this one has the title I want. Basically my issue is that I own the monster hunter 4 ultimate limited edition n3ds, which had the game preinstalled on the SD it came with, and I want to transfer it to my 16GB SD that I use now (the EMUNAND one).

So, uhm is it possible to backup the game from my original sd and install it on the emunand SD so that I won't have to swap them when I want to play? If so, can someone who knows tell me how or link me to a tutorial? So far my search isn't fruitful.

Thanks, what about the IP logging bit? Can Nintendo find out who and when some preinstalled games are all linked to a new NNID?

You just need to move the game files on the other SD

I never had this problem

How? Just stick the SD to my pc, copy the 2.70 GB folder in "Nintendo 3DS" to the other SD? Or is there another method that I am not aware of?

unless you have sysnand and emunand unlinked, then you can't
and yes, just backup your old SD (Nintendo 3DS) to PC and restore to the new SD

I use the cubic ninja exploit, basically I did the QR thing, backed up my nand and installed emunand on the new, bigger SD with that backup. Thing is, I did use the new SD quite a bit, my saves and other .cia files are installed on it, so i don't want to mess those up, was mostly wondering if I could just convert my preinstalled game into a .cia or 3DS file and install them on the emunand SD or on the gateway SD.

Sorry if I sound stupid, it's been a while since I did all that, and I clearly haven't done my research. No idea if my emu and sys is linked or not. Or if by backup you mean just copy paste it or do a full backup and restore by replacing all content on my emunand SD

Eitherway, I will just copy that folder over and see if that's what you mean, will let you know if it worked.

if it was preinstalled and you didn't unlink sysnand with emunand (formatted sysnand or emunand) then you can spoof FW on your N3DS in emunand 9.5 and redownload your pre-installed game
I havent accessed the shop at all, neither on the original SD nor on the new one, my firmware wasn't the latest so I had to update to do that.

EDIT: It worked! Just copied the folder to my emunand SD and both tomodachi life and MH4U are there, can play them both with and without gateway :) Thank you people.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)

So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
