Homebrew gba games on gateway

hi guys I recently installed the agb_firm to play gba games but when I go to emunand and install the games, the games install but I just get a black screen when launching games, so I was wondering how can I launch gba injected games in gateway with emunand without the need of pastacfw thanks guys

Try installing them on sysnand first

Edit: Why you don't want to use pasta? If it's because you don't have CN you could use rxtools that can be launched from the browser/mset and it's compatible with sysnand and emunand

the mother 3 game and I really don't know I heard mset can brick your system but please am a total noob explain me more its kind of complex all of this for me

Humm mset is an entrypoint by itself it cant hurt anything, but downgrading it with a file thats not for your region can brick you console for sure.
Did you installed the game on sysnand? Have you tried booting it there? You installed that agb thing because you were following some guide? Link it if its the case
I don't have gateway, I use rxtools and i have never installed that and my gba games do work

We go through this every once in a great while. Here's my setup which works 100%. Run rxtools in sysnand mode and install DevMenu, titlemanager, or fbi, your choice. If the nands are NOT linked Install the cia of the game you wish to play on sysnand FIRST. then launch emunand from rxtools and install it there too. I use gateway launcher for gw roms, and rxtools for dsware and gba games

I wish they never made the agb patch. It's a pain in the ass and I haven't seen one person get it working yet. RxTools is the way to go. It natively patches agb_twl on launch.

am a gateway user and I have a new 3ds in sysnand 9.0 and emunand 9.4 and I don't want to install rxtools so is there anyway I can play this with the rxtools or any cfw I have now?

Didnt realize you were on n3ds. RxTools won't work with it anyway. The only other advice I have is to install the cia to sysnand and emunand. If they are only on emunand, they won't launch.

I honestly don't know. I don't have n3ds. I use rxtools to sig patch my sysnand to install them. I'm gunna look into this a little more, I'm curious how this would work now.

Everything I've read says you have to use pastacfw

CakesFW, you can use MSET.

Something Gateway does unintentionally breaks the ability to play pirated GBA and DSi games. So until they fix it, you won't be able to play them using Gateway (sysnand or emunand).

I use gateway and play gba games with a dstwo (I didn't buy it specifically for that though, have had my dstwo for years using it in my ds lite)
