yes, it was a bug in the client, not the handler.
I also used latest posted version by wj44 (the one with FSA working)

when it crashes and you tell to not retry, sometime it doesn't retry, sometime it's always retrying.
I don't know C# so I didn't check the sources, but it should stop retrying if you don't want.

I checked my running processes in win7, there is still a gecko dnet.exe running, even if I don't have any more visible windows.
Maybe it's because there's still a process in the background (another bug? not closed correctly?) that the retry bug happens?
I don't think, but it's worth notifying that it didn't close fully.

@Cyan
Exactly, the Zombie process behavior is also a problem. People just didn't carefully program this tool years ago for the Wii. Unfortunately, it got updated but under closed source so we could never carry over all of the fixes and improvements done by dcx2.

Talking about Cyan's bug.

I was dumping RAM, the WiiU crashed at 95%, around 45000000.

Tcgp gecko client thrown the error message, clicking "no" thrown another message, the clicking "no" again, the program didn't try to reconnect.

Using latest Tcgp gecko client version by wj44.
Well IIRC the Wii U itself actually crashes when you read memory past 0x45000000 so how could it possibly reconnect? Plus there are some games whose memory banks end even earlier.

@golden45
I was trying to dump a file using Cafiine in Black Ops 2 but I'm getting an error code on-screen instead. The dumped file has 0 bytes. The game has crashed, too. Ejecting the disk doesn't recover.

Edit:
I'm trying
Code:
request_slow
now though. Slow is pretty slow but it worked. Sorry! Just keeping this post here for other people.

Can someone test this version(seems to fix the retry bug)?
thank you, it seems it's fixed.

I didn't try crashing a game again, just launched without wiiU powered and tried to connect.
it correctly stops when choosing No retry :)

edit:

@wj44:
Someone in cheatcode's thread made a good suggestion to add to TCPGecko.
as we currently can't use hooktype to permanantly poke an address, could you add a menu where we can list multiple cheatcode addresses/values and add a setting to poke that regularly? (with a counter like how many time per seconds or per minutes?)
multi-poking with delay will at least help with infinite HP, amo, etc. until we can get a proper hooktype and codetype.
