I wondering how do you compile sources. I keep seeing all these homebrews with sources and no .3dsx or .smdh files. How do you compile these to make them usable. I'm using Windows 10.

Also is there anyway to run gba games on Old 3DS XL 9.9.0-26?
CitraGBA is far away from being perfect. Is there another way?

You have to install devkitpro, ctrulib and sometimes aemstro and sf2dlib to compile apps. But sometimes you have to alter the sourcecode a bit because the apps were written with an outdated version of ctrulib.

As far as GBA, CitrAGB is the best emulator currently. If at some point there is a CFW for 9.9 (Probably long time away) you'll be able to install GBA cia's wich run at 100% perfect speed. But for the time being CitrAGB is the best you can do for now.

Well that sucks. Is there at least a way to make it work/run better?

There's always the option of getting a DSTwo which has some nice emulators for GBA ;)
I was thinking about that. I may consider but thats all.

I guess it requires some knowledge of working these applications. Is there a tutorial for stuff like this? I bet not.

Well. Maybe I don't need to learn how to compile homebrews. Like so much stuff to do. I saw the page got discouraged immediately. Maybe i'll just wait until compiled versions of homebrews come out. Cuz holy jebus.
I can compile a few of them for you if you want, it's really simple when you've got the environment setup. I might make a step by step tutorial and post it here soon if people would like to know how.

I don't know about that because theres a guide that i just found out from TJ_Cool. If you make one, i think you should push it to be in the stickies.
Thanks for the offer though.

There is a basic guide in the wiki: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/3DS_Homebrew/Development
Feel free to improve it
Well Isn't that nice. This is much simpler.
