Okay so here's the problem:

I have a wii u, two usbs (one formatted for wii games with wbfs manager 3.0 and another formatted for gamecube games to play with nintendont) and a 1 gb sd card (used to store all the apps, homebrew, etc...)

When I start up the usb loader (usb loader gx v3.0) it doesn't recognize the usb ports on the front so after repeated trail and error the only port that works is one of them on the back but only with the gamecube games. When I clicked on one of the game icons, which for some reason the display pictures for the games are mismatched, and press start it says I need to copy the game to my sd card and won't start up unless I do so. The games work fine with nintendont by the way but not with the usb loader. As for the usb configured for wii games, it doesn't even get recognized at all.

What I'm hoping for is a solution that will fix these problems and if possible allow me to use two usbs at the same time to display gamecube and wii games (front ports if any usb loaders support that option).
Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

If I remember correctly the two ports on the back were all that have been coded in vwii since original wii only had the two ports.
I thought someone was working on the front ports at one point but I don't remember.
You really need to word what your problem is a little better. Because I am having a little difficulty understanding exactly what your problem is.
So, if you just plug the one usb with wii games on it usb loader recognizes it? But if both are plugged in it only recognizes the one with gc games on it?
And when you get the games to show up the icons for the games aren't the correct ones pictured for the actual game?
If thats the case then it's an issue the the icons file on your sd card causing the mismatch. The issue with the two usb only seeing gc games is they are formatted differently. If you format them both to fat32 they should work ok. I don't think there is a reason to use wbfs anymore at all. Especially if you are also storing gc games on one in fat and wii games on another. I really think this is your issue with the usb.
You are gonna have to break down your problems with a little more explanation for me to answer you. Cyan may be better at this problem solve for you with this little info but I sure can't.

the way you are still using wbfs manger tells me that your setup must be very outdated.

If you don't have a lot of wii games, use WiiBackupManager to transfer the games to your PC, format your wii drive to FAT32 and use WiiBackupManager to transfer the games back or search for wbfs2fat in GBAtemp.
usbloaders do not run GC games on their own, you must install nintendont, devolution or dios mios and tell usbloaders to use them accordingly. Older versions of usbloaders do not have good support on these either, go to the stickies on the Wii forum to see what is latest.
don't forget to make a syscheck log to see if your cios are outdated too.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try to explain the problems I'm experiencing better.
Q: So, if you just plug the one usb with wii games on it usb loader recognizes it?
A: No, it doesn't recognize the usb with the usb games at all.
Q: But if both are plugged in it only recognizes the one with gc games on it?
A: It recognizes the gamecube games whether both or plugged in or only one but only one back port works.
Q: And when you get the games to show up the icons for the games aren't the correct ones pictured for the actual game?
A: Yes, I don't know why it does this. I never downloaded or put any icons on my usb so it displays the default icons that an actual GameCube would normally display.

I'll try out your solution but if I format my usb to fat32 that means I won't be able to use the wbfs format correct? Which means all games will be a minimum of 4.3 gb? The reason why this is kind of a concern is games like New Super Mario Bros are only a few hundred mbs so it seems like a waste of space.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I used these three guides:
(COMPLETE GUIDE on How to Play Wii Backups on Wii U and Backup NAND With Voice 1080p HD)

(How to play Gamecube Backup Games on Wii U WITHOUT the actual discs (NintenDONT) [1080p HD])
(

How to Softmod Wii U and Install Homebrew Channel vWii (With Voice) [1080p HD])

I have nintendont and the gamecube games work fine but will not work when used with a usb loader. What is the best usb loader for the wii u? In terms of functionality, stability and compatitibility (with gamecube games, nintendont, etc...)

the usbloader and nintendont used by the guides are quite outdated.
as I said before go to the respective stickies and read:
usbloadergx https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx.149922/ your version is 1180 which wont work properly with nintendont, latest is v1256
nintendont https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont.349258/ the guide says v1.0 and its compatibility is real low, I doubt you are really using that version. Latest is v3.371

don't just follow random guides without looking at their release date and not mentioned its specifically for wiiU
read the stickies of the forums
you should also mention the real versions/revision of the apps you used not just assuming they are latest
for usbloadergx, read it from setting>credits
for nintendont, it should show the revision on the boot up screen.

I heard latest usbloadergx got some problems with latest nintendont, but you can always use nintendont from Home Brew Channel or ask in their own sticky threads.

edit
Not all drives works especially thumb drives, and usbloaders only use back ports of the WiiU, preferably the top one.
If your drive isn't recognized at all, Try another drive.
