Hardware GCN: Region locked controller?

Should be. Hardware usually works cross-region for the most part.

I´ve heard that the Gamepad is "semi" region-locked. Technically you can play games using any Gamepad, you just need a same region one to apply firmware updates.

So you have a second source I have 3 black and 1 white WUPC and all are JP models I bought off Amazon. They can be $5 or so cheaper sometimes. The only thing you miss out on is English "instructions".

Personally I get concerned with counterfeits on eBay. I would get it from Amazon for same price with shipping.

They have not been cheaper the past couple of months but they were when I bought 3 in December and May when when I bought the white one. That's why I said "sometimes".
