For GW N3DS users, is it still possible to upgrade to 9.5 emunand?

Yes but you will have to look for the CIA update files yourself as you cannot download them from 3DNUS at the moment.

Hey guys, got my Gateway card for my N3DS (FW 9.0.0-20E) this morning but my save dongle is coming in later on. I'm wondering if it is possible to back up my current save file and restore Gateway's save onto my copy of OOT without it.

Side note, will the Blue card work on the N3DS?

Well, you can't access saves unless you have your save dongle.

I'm really out of touch with current 3DS scene and I didn't follow the CFW development etc. Basically I have 2 old3DS systems but only one GW card. I'm all set with my own 3ds but I obviously can't use one GW card on 2 systems ( second one is my brother's ). I want to install CFW on his one so that he can do all the questionable stuff on his system. I downgraded that 3ds using GW downgrader and it's currently running OFW 4.5. I want to ask what is the best and most safe way to install CFW and allow CIA installation? I believe the rxTools is the best choice but I have no idea how .cia installation works on that etc. Could someone write a quick rundown of steps I should take to mod that 3ds? I'd be very grateful. Please quote my post so that I know someone answered. Thanks in advance!

If the network setting are the same on both sysnand and emunand (Even though I didn't set any network on sysnand ) does that mean I didn't unlike the two ?

Delete the connection from sysNAND; if the connection is still on emuNAND you've unlinked. If the connection is no longer on emuNAND, you're still linked. To unlink, remove the SD card from your 3DS and format sysNAND.

I just ran into that very error twice this week, not sure if it's because of my rom (just started on brave frontier) or the 3ds hardware itself. Did some googling and some said it was to do with the wifi card connection internally being loose?

I'm not sure how that would affect the games however. At the moment the only game that works in my library is Ocarina but I'll download a few others to see if this is a weird anomaly with my roms; because why should one game work but not the rest? What differentiates Ocarina from the others?

Hi all, completely new to 3ds scene, saw the Gateway thread & it had instructions for an exploit requiring OoT & Ocarina of Time, so does that mean the flashcard needs those exploits to work/run or is that just for a system cfw?
Either way my main question (& the only thing i really care to do), is if there is a way to get & play 3ds GBA ambassador games on a non ambassador system (i have a 2ds). Do have to do any hacking or use a flash card to do this if possible?

When I create a new internet connection profile on my SysNAND, it's creating one on my EmuNand. Is this normal? They are supposed to be unlinked. Is this a sign they relinked somehow?

For what it's worth, I have a NNID on my EmuNAND but not on my SysNAND. No idea if that matters at all.

Ok, so i did everything to load pasta cfw via ds profile exploit, holding L button, and after i do that, it gives me the halfway working screen, and then it just returns to the home menu and said it crashed. Im on a 4.3-9U 3DS XL. I need help asap because im trying to set up a cia, any help would be appreciated. also, i followed every step till i got to step 8. You can use rxTools. https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-rxtools-roxas75-3ds-toolkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/ It's free and can do everything Gateway can do. Those games are only required for the N3DS, not the O3DS or 2DS.

4.X is probably the easiest to upgrade to since it allows for the MSET (DS profile) exploit. Game cart updates definitely work, I'm not sure about Sky3DS, though I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Sky3DS is your only option currently. However, it is believed that Nintendo recently added new anti-piracy checks into newer games which stops the Sky3DS from running them. Currently only two games are blocked (Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Fire Emblem: if); however, it is likely that nearly all new games will have these checks. If you are ok with being unable to play newer games, then a Sky3DS is good.

It will come up with a message saying that it failed to install, but will tell you the region and version number you need for FBI injection. Now launch rxTools on your 3DS again and go to other options > FBI Injection and select emuNAND or sysNAND based on which one you're using. It should complete. Now boot rxMode in whichever NAND you're using and click the Health & Safety app. FBI should boot.
