Hey! I currently have Gateway and a 2DS and am deathly afraid that someone will update it by accident again. I was wondering if there was anyway to child-proof a 2DS.
It'll still find open APs though, right?Don't be mean.
Make 3 fake wifi access points in the settings, that way even if WiFi gets turned on, it can never connect to the internet.

Wifi isn't the only way to update it. Games can come with updates as well, so my advice is to get a second 2DS that people can play on, that way, you can keep your not updated 2DS to yourself, and everyone else can use the other one. It might be more costly, but if someone upgrades your 2DS on you, you'll probably have to go and get another one anyway.
Additionally, Nintendo Zone hotspots can also download updates to your system.
Wasn't being mean, i was completely serious.Don't be mean.

Just fill your internet settings with fake data, and be sure to get rid of the update nag. Other than that, just don't let anyone put a game cartridge in your system, and... don't travel around with your console in sleep mode
Sometimes while in SysNAND you'll get a message asking you to update, but some people don't get itWhat do you mean by the update nag?
I'm pretty sure there is a wifi switch on a 2DS. Maybe on the top?Is there no switch on the 2DS?
Try inside the OS.I'm pretty sure there is a wifi switch on a 2DS. Maybe on the top?
