Homebrew Custom Theme Thread

Does anyone have any theme requests? As long as you give me the images (you don't have to resize them) I'll do it for ya.

EDIT: And another thing... can someone specify the maximum length for each CWAV in the themes? It would be a big help.

Can you please make me an Princess Peach Theme with the following Pictures?

Topscreen: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nk9klN_mry0/UFKVXUUq7YI/AAAAAAAAAGE/LKUOJ-rn3VA/s1600/3JPG.jpg
Touchscreen: http://orig01.deviantart.net/47a5/f/2010/002/8/6/pretty_peachy_present_by_sigurdhosenfeld.jpg

That would be great.

Can someone convert this music to BCSTM? I know its a bit long but can it be cut at the 1:34 where it goes to silence so it can loop again and still be under the file size limit? Thanks in advance

@WeedZ1985, when you insert the cwav into a theme, are you using yata+? I'm having an issue where inserting cwav with that program doesn't seem to properly set the sounds. If you're using something else to import them into the theme, perhaps you could give me a tip on how you do it, thanks.

I used this, https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-custom-theme-cwavs.381132/.
you select how your theme's top and lower scrolling works then it gives you possible sounds that can be replaced. Just browse for each bcwav/cwav and add it. Then hit create to generate a cwav chunk as a .bin. both yata and yata plus should have an option to import cwav chunk.

Some things I got hung up on were file sizes being too large and not saving as pcm unsigned 8bit, 8000hz, mono. Which can be done in audacity. Also I forgot to enable SFX in yata settings the first go.

With the release of ninjhax 2.0, I've decided to get back into theme building. I'm slowly remaking some old themes using tools that weren't available at the time and uploading them to 3DSThemes for download by others.

Download is available at the 3DSThemes website for anyone interested.

Spent the day making a silly Vita-based 3DS theme. Turns out you can't put a circle around 24px icons while covering all the corners, so I settled for squares rounded as far as possible.

Top and bottom BG were edited from this image: link
BGM: Playstation 20th anniversary vita theme bgm
Sound effects from vita
Move Cursor: PSP - menu tick
Launch App: Vita - app start
Create/Delete Folder: Vita - sticker peel
Close App: Vita - exit to home menu
Open 3DS: Vita - open app LiveArea

I have opened it in Custom Theme Tools by Roxas75 but it looks like it is the standard Template Theme. :/
Sometimes it has happened that CustomThemeTools open a theme previously opened, as if he had saved in some sort of internal memory. Try opening the theme with YATA.

If I understand correctly, the brick of the sound effects is solved by starting the console without SD card, and inserting it after startup. Then you have to launch Ninjhax and install a theme through extdatatool or CHMM. Right?

However, what I want is to know is why you may encounter this brick. CWAVs damaged or something similar?

You are absolutely right. Though when I damaged the CWAV chunk, strange sounds came from my 3DS, but no bricks.

I'm curious. Is there any animated themes without user input? Can backgrounds themselves be 3D?

Probably too much to ask to put all these themes in one post, specifically the original post. :P

Yata+ v1.1 supports creating "Solid w/ texture" top screens. It's a simple animation, and I'm not sure if it applies a 3D effect since I haven't tried it out yet.

The only themes I can think of that are animated at the moment are the Ace Attorney Mood Matrix one, and some samples from Yata+'s author

I think that no themes will try to animate the top screen with 3D in a way that would interfere with game logos that pop in 3D, so while the ones that animate at the top will push back if you turn on 3D, you probably can't mess with it to make it look any better or customize the pop of the 3D or anything special like that.

Make sense. Just to clarify, do any of the themes show depth 3D rather than a push back picture?
